Here's hoping - definitely got my fingers crossed for more. I always liked the show before but I think the different format gave it a new lease of life. I'm at a bit of a loss at to why it was at all necessary to have to see Christina Cole's breasts on screen though? It was hardly essential to the plot! I'm not a prude but adding some tits in to a programme to make it 'spicy' pisses me off especially when the same kind of demands aren't made of male cast! I felt a similar way about the entire scene actually - it was pretty obvious that he wasn't crawling into bed with his sister-in-law to give her a goodnight kiss and a cuddle.

I loved her in Casino Royale...I guess James was too busy to have her show me his Ocean Villa?

From The Stage: ITV has commissioned a new six-part comedy drama based around the world of estate agents.
The series, called Sold, is being made by Touchpaper Television and stars Kris Marshall and Bryan Dick as employees of Colubrines Estate Agents.
Dick plays Danny, who goes out of his way to help buyers secure their dream homes. He has to work alongside money mad Matt, played by Marshall, and office bitch Mel, played by Christina Cole.
Sold’s lead writer is Steve Coombes, who has previously penned scripts for Hustle and New Tricks. The 'office bitch' bit sounds promising.

I hope she doesn't get caught up in this bitch typecasting lark I agree. It is like she is either a bitch or a witch! I want to see her do so much more.

It is like she is either a bitch or a witch! Hehe! Apparently they start filming next week, so it shouldn't be too long before we hear a bit more about Christina's role. She did a good job giving Blanche in Jane Eyre far more depth than the part seemed to be written with, so hopefully even in what's being billed as a 'comedy drama' there'll be a bit of room for some character development beyond generic 'bitch'.

Doctor Who hasn't started up again on Sci-Fi Channel yet, but I live close to the Canadian border and CBC just premiered Series 3 this past Monday. It looks like Christina's episode is going to be on next week! It'll be fun to see her on one of my other favorite shows.
I do have a question, and I apologize if this was already covered in another thread I haven't read yet: was it always planned for Cassie to be killed off in Hex, or did Christina Cole leave because she wanted to do something else?

I don't think there's ever been a direct quote from Christina Cole herself about it but I think other sources have pretty much established that she left just because she wanted to do something else. There's an interview with Jemima Rooper at Nikki's site that touches on it. Maybe with all her new projects like The Deaths of Ian and Sold we might finally see some kind of interview with her and hear it from the horse's mouth!

Thanks so much for that wonderful link!
I'll keep an eye on this thread in case there is an interview with Christina at some point, like you said. Unfortunately, because we're several months to a year behind the U.K. here for shows like this, our media is very unlikely to make us aware of things like interviews and press releases for them.
On a stroke of inspiraton, though, I did just visit BBC America's website and request all kinds of shows that Christina and Jemina have done since Hex, so hopefully others have, too, and they'll pick them up so we can finally see them here.

I agree, it should be good to see her playing it for laughs for once. I don't think she's done an out-and-out comedy before has she?.. I really liked Kris Marshall in My Life in Film and the hey days of My Family so I'm looking forward to seeing how the show turns out. There's a tiny bit more detail about Sold here. In that description Christina's character is described as the 'bitch-from-hell'. So much for adding some depth then.

I just saw Christina's Doctor Who episode this week and it was great! I'm glad she had such a big part. Is it just me or did her voice seem really different? I mean I know actors do that, but it was enough to make me hesitate for a moment--is it...? nah... oh wait, it is!!
