Christina will be appearing in the British horror movie Doghouse, which is reportedly about to start filming in London. It's about a group of guys who go away on a camping weekend, to celebrate/commiserate one of them getting divorced. Unfortunately, an accident in a nearby small town has resulted in the release of an experimental nerve toxin (that was being developed as a weapon), which transforms all the women into cannibalistic zombies who slaughter the local male population and then set their sights on the camping party. Since all the female characters are flesh-eating corpses, it means we'll see Christina playing a villain and a monster for the first time. The movie is being directed by Jake West, who's previously responsible for Razor Blade Smile (which I consider to be one of the best vampire movies ever made), the splatter comedy Evil Aliens, and the American horror sequel Pumpkinhead: Ashes to Ashes. Other cast members include Danny Dyer, Noel Clarke (Mickey in Doctor Who) and TV presenter/Goth & fetish model/ Gorezone columnist/lads' mag favourite/modern British horror icon Emily Booth. Here's a link to a brief news item about the film; www.joblo.com/arrow/index.php?id=13266A more lengthy article; www.fangoria.com/news_article.php?id=7046And the movie's official website; www.doghousethemovie.co.uk/index.htmlAt the time of writing, the section of the website dedicated to the cast just has concept art for the characters. It's fun looking at the various pictures of rotting ghouls and trying to figure out which one Christina will be playing.

A bit of trivia about Emily Booth: although her best known TV work is presenting shows such as computer game review programme Bits, cult film series outTHERE and it's spin-off Shock Movie Massacre, one of her strangest TV appearances was on Channel 4's Banzai. For anyone who doesn't remember it, Banzai was a light night spoof gambling show in which various celebrities would take part in bizarre challenges, with viewers supposedly betting amongst themselves at home regarding the possible outcome. Emily's challenge was to spend 30 minutes walking along a road in the middle of the red light district in London's Soho in the early hours of the morning, dressed as Julia Roberts' character in Pretty Woman. Viewers had to bet on how many kerb-crawlers would proposition her. Here's a link to some pictures if you don't believe me; www.tartydoris.com/emily%20booth1.jpg

Christina is playing the Zombie named Candy. If you go the website there are sketches of each of the zombies with their names.

Here's a link to a short article which includes the UK movie poster for Doghouse (which amusingly spoofs the poster for the Bond film For Your Eyes Only); www.joblo.com/arrow/index.php?id=16543

I saw this on Christina Coles IMDB page, don't know if this is real or not, but thought I'd post it on here anyway. In Paris on May 30th, there will be a Skins/Hex convention at Auditorium Jean de fontaine 75016 Paris with Mitch Hewer and Christina Cole (Hex).
QandA, photosession, autographs and more...
And there is just a few days left before the end of the auction to eat with Mitch and Christina in a classy restaurant in Paris with two other fans.

Good grief. How come the French get to have a Hex convention when there's never been one in the UK? I'm bewildered, gob-smacked and incredibly envious, in equal measure. Judging by the event's website, although the only two guests are Christina and Skins' Mitch Hewer, the convention is celebrating a whole range of British TV shows, several of which have gay/lesbian characters or storylines: in addition to Hex, there's Queer as Folk, Torchwood and Ash & Scribbs (the French title for Murder in Suburbia), so I think I detect a theme. Thanks for this information, WarrenWitchesRule.

Yeah considering they're all British made shows, we should have been the ones to do a convention with them not the French. Even though admittedly I do live in France, Paris is a bit too far for me to get too.

Wow. I knew Christina had done at least one Doctor Who convention but having her appear at a Hex convention is something else. I had no idea Hex was popular/well known enough in France to warrant it - I'm very, very jealous. Thanks for letting us know, WarrenWitchesRule. So...a Q and A session with Christina Cole, all about Hex. Surely the first thing someone's going to ask her is why she left.

Did anyone see Doghouse during it's brief cinema release in the UK? It played at a cinema near me for a week, but circumstances prevented me from having time to see it.

Did anyone see Doghouse during it's brief cinema release in the UK? It played at a cinema near me for a week, but circumstances prevented me from having time to see it. It vanished from my local cinema almost as soon as it arrived, so I'm waiting for the DVD. I wonder if Surviving Evil is going to get a UK cinema release. A bit of googling suggests it might be September but there doesn't seem to be a fixed date yet, even though the DVD is scheduled for release in early October.
