I was meant to be going to see some tall ship in hartlepool, but its my mates birthday and were all going out, so sadly *cough* I cant go. Oh well.

Last weekend I attended the annual Comic Expo in Bristol with a friend. Despite it being a smaller event this year, my friend and I both really enjoyed it, just as much as we have previous years (it was the eighth time we've attended). We also spent way too much money, as usual. The only disappointing aspect was that while the Ramada Hotel (location of the main dealers' room and several panels) was absolutely heaving the whole time, the small press event on the Saturday at the Mercure Hotel nearby was very sparsely attended both times I went there. I chatted to several of the creators selling their wares at the Mercure, and they all said it had been dead all day. In fact, the second time I was there (just before 16:00) about a quarter of the sellers had given up, packed up their stock and left. A damn shame.
