A random post about Ashlee Simpson

I know that she can't sing for pancakes and she's only got a record contract because of her sister (who by the way, belts out her records like a dying giraffe, the poor girl) but does anyone else watch her MTV reality show?

It's called (wait for it, this is original) The Ashlee Simpson Show and follows her around from the moment she scribbled her name (which by the way is spelt Ashley < I prefer that spelling) to where she is now.

I don't like her music and I've actually only heard her on the show itself, but I caught sight of it one day after watching Newlyweds (a show I love cos of how lovingly stupid Jessica Simpson is... oh and her hot husband lol) and I just carried on watching it from there.

The show itself is quite entertaining! It actually shows you how false all these "fly on the wall" documentaries are these days. Every time Ashlee opens her mouth, she's talking about "this is who I am" and "I'm not Jessica" etc etc.

At one point she even went on to say that having a new haircut is a way of "finding yourself" and "expressing yourself as an artist". Funny, I always though "finding yourself" was a personal, spiritual thing, not one that you shared with your hairdresser and "expressing yourself" was the singing bit.

I must have forgotten to read the memo, lol.

If you've not watched it, it's on at 8:30PM on MTV tonight. If you can, catch a glimpse of it. She's so stupidly famous for the wrong reasons you can't help but be entertained!

I've seen one episode, I think she was going on about her original she was. She sounds like a right loser, but I do like newlywed's, it soo funny, and I can have my Jessica Simpson moments

I have seen both shows-my sister watches them-and I have to say although neither are my cup of tea Jessica is definately the better singer and better looking one though I love Aslee in her lil converses while Jessica totters past in her stilettos

Ashlee Simpson has no rights on this earth to parade around in Converse sneakers. Especially green ones! (my fave colour and also BJ from Green Day owns a pair)

She's never picked up a basketball in her life and I bet the only "punk" she's ever listened to is Blink 182. Terrible.

And Jessica Simpson gives blondes a very bad name! I feel sorry for her husband!

Not at all. I actually own every album they ever made! All I'm saying is, if you wanna call yourself a true punk, you at least have to listen to The Clash or The Sex Pistols at some point! It's like Avril Lasange calling herself punk. Both of them are pop with images to portray to appease the angry-but-nice-so-mum-dont-get-angry generation.

See there are some hard core punks that would disagree with you about the Pistols. My dad was a punk first time round and him and his mates hated them because they were manufactured and considered no better than Pop. Personally I think the Clash, The Buzzcocks and The Damned were better.

I also like the garage bands, The Stooges, The New York Dolls, all those bands people like The Vines and The Strokes are ripping off now and pretending it's original.

Blink 182 are amazing in concert ;D and I really dont know how any one could stand to listen to the pistols and Avril Lavigne, she's just hilarious. Pvnk rok, sk8rs! Just think, without her we'd have no one to laugh so damn hard at.

Yeah with the slime? Pffft!!!! Sorry, but I know Green Day didn't invent the idea of using Slime in a video, but at least they had an original use of it - i.e the American flag "bleeding" into the Green Slime, thus portraying the whole theme of their entire album. Avril Lavigne? ooh, let's use pink slime cos it's sooo like totally punk like me!

She's a faker. She's always rambled on about how much of a tomboy she is, and then she wears fairy wings and a tutu in a video! she sounds horrible too, one interview asked her what kind of gifts fans give her and she went "ugh, mostly hello kitty stuff"
