Apart from Hex (obviously), what else is everyone watching at the moment?
I have gone all year hardly having any programmes in my Sky planner (sorry, I'm not a great fan of reality shows and soaps), and now it seems suddenly full.
We have Hex on Sunday nights, which clashes with the second season of the excellent Carnivále (which can be watched two hours later, though, on FX+).
There is also season four of the wonderful The Dead Zone, which surpasses the source material with a wonderful ensemble of likeable characters and solid episodes filled with good acting and fantastic writing.
There's the second season of The 4400 starting next week on Sky 1 on Tuesdays (which, luckily, doesn't clash with anything); and Medium with Patrica Arquette later the same night.
I am sort of dipping into Lost every now and again. I watched this season at the start of this year when I found out that E4 wouldn't be showing it after Christmas and waiting 'til the Summer (obviously didn't want to have both Desperate Housewives and Lost showing at the same time because when they end, what else do E4 have? Friends repeats and Hollyoaks?). It's still a good episode and I find myself spotting things I missed the first time around. I am surprised Lost has done as well as it has - although I am very glad that it has - because it falls into so many categories. The BBC1/ITV audience will like the drama, but wonder what the hell is going on with huge jungle monsters, ploar bears and walking cripples. And those who like their sci-fi and fantasy may get frustrated with the lack of fantasy elements in each episode. And yet it all works so well and has shown all those US execs who cancelled so many shows we love over the past few years in favour of reality shows that serialised storytelling still has a big place in their TV schedules.
Just wondered what everybody else is currently watching... Sorry for the (lengthy) ramble, but the Sky box is my new best friend.
