The first record I bought was.... The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill...and the first cassett I bought was ( please don't laugh ) "Oops! I did it again" of Britney Spears... I was very young and I loved Brit lol

don't worry, my guess is a lot of people have Brittney skeletons in their closet!

Thanks for all your input guys. This has been fun so far! It doesn't matter about being embarrassed. There are always albums and singles that we first buy, (or are already part of our collection), that we wish we hadn't bought. I'm even guilty of having Britney Spears in my collection at one time! ;D What matters is that we bothered to take an interest in music in the first place. It doesn't matter if it's a cheesy pop act or soundtrack from a movie or tv show. It's a strong influence in our day to day lives. We would probably be totally different person if we never listened to music at all.

absolutely, I often think how big a part music plays in my life and how it's pretty theraputic. I'd hate to loose my hearing and not be able to enjoy music.

I agree. I cannot imagine the world without hearing... it'd be the biggest injure that would happen to any person. I used to be the fan of Britney, but now I prefer more rock playing... But I love dancing to the Brit's music....

I'm happy to say I don't own ANY Brittney, but I'm not too proud to get up and dance to it in a club.

well mostly I prefer going to places where there is live music. I like rock/punk really. But if I'm in a nightclub and all they're playing is pop I will get up and dance to pretty much anything.

I am not from England/uSa and I sometimes have problems with some words. Wouldn't it be a problem if I will ask U all by the meaning? e.g what does mean- poo?

poo is an english slang word for crap, literally, but yeah if something is a bit poo it's a bit rubbish.
