Second episode was entertaining enough, you can still see the jokes and plot devices marching at you from afar waving a big flag and there were only one or two laugh out loud moments for me again. Still only really hitting my average rating again, and again only really saved by the fact that Paul Chequer and Jemima are really good actors.

The one thing I find intriguing is the show's ability to effortlessly switch from out-and-out farce to a scene that's quite touching.
For example, at the end of the second episode Nathan keeps answering his front door and his flat is suddenly full of policemen, angry prostitutes, and Rosa in her underwear. We then cut to the following morning and Nathan discovers that Rosa has slept in his car outside the police station, having waited for him all night. Until this moment he'd thought that she was rushing things, was being too clingy, was overtly religious, etc, and he didn't want anything more serious than a quick fling. But he suddenly realises that she is actually someone quite special - whereupon she sadly informs him that things are just too complicated between him, Fi and Jase, and she regretfully walks away.
Coming immediately after the comedy sequence in Nathan's flat, such a sudden change in tone really shouldn't work, but it manages to be quite touching. Kudos to the writers and the actress who played Rosa.

that was actually the one sequence I really enjoyed, the farce at Nathan's flat and Rosa's goodbye. I thought the rest was okay but not mindblowing.

lost count
I was shocked to learn that jase has been with more than one man. Mani was not his first.

I find it a bit too predictable.....Jase will do something naughty, he tells Nathan, Nathan has to keep it secret, blah blah blah same thing each ep. But gosh Jemima looks lovely in every damn scene

Just a shame it was lifted directly from Sugar Rush's Crab-Outbreak.

it has a lot in comon with sugar rush and as if: swingers, std's, homosexuality... i find sinchronicity is kind of a mix of those two shows, just the characters are older

all three series are filmed in similar styles...it's somewhat formulaic.
I've just caught up with the repeat of episode 3. Nothing spectacular again. Really good performances once again and quite touching in places. I find I'm feeling most sorry for Mani at the moment though, although no doubt he'll be harbouring some dark secret, but he's the most sympathy inducing character.
Everyone else has lied and cheated their way through...Fi is obviously a bit more of a victim as well but Nathan and Jase just need their heads knocking together.
I'll keep watching because I'm intriegued but it's not breaking any boundries.

And, like Sugar Rush, it also seems that no matter how selfish the main character is, it all seems to work out in their favour at the end of the episode...

I haven't found the ratings for this.
It's also not referred to as a 'season' because the episodes are filmed and aired in pre-prepared blocks that can air at any time of the year.
