Thanks for the heads-up, rob. Will make sure to watch it.
Fingers crossed that Laura isn't playing a character who ends up on the mortuary slab.

Great news, thanks for sharing Rob! Looking forward to it. Hopefully it'll be a decent-sized role.

Laura apparently appearing in "Silent Witness - Judgement" on Wednesday 22 October! Another great performance from Laura, which required her to act distraught and grief-stricken throughout, aided by some appropriately unflattering lighting. Wouldn't be surprised if it was her appearances in The Bill that brought her to the attention of Silent Witness's casting agents. Pity that she only appeared in the opening episode of the two-parter, but her character's story had effectively been told in that first instalment.

After this and The Bill, I hope the next time we see Laura on TV it's in something a little more light-hearted! She was very effective as Esther though. It's good to see her on our screens again, in whatever guise. I'm a bit sorry she didn't share a scene with William Gaminara, who I love as dour, earnest Leo - the most unlikely leading man on TV.
I wasn't totally convinced by the conclusion to the Hasidic plot, but the backpacker storyline really ended with a bang and I think was the stronger thread. Great performances by Conor Mullen and Billie Piper's long-lost twin (surely?!) Jo Woodcock too. It was another decent episode of what's so far been a cracking series.

Hey. I'm not sure this is the right place to ask, but since I kind of searched all over the Inet for it and just couldn't find anything, thought that I should ask here and if no one here knows, no one knows at all. Laura's birthdate or at least her age?

Her age was given as 25 in a couple of interviews that came out at the time Hex season two was airing. So three years down the line I'd guess she's around 28, depending on when the interviews were conducted.
It is a total guess though, sorry. I don't think I've ever seen her birthdate anywhere.

Thank you. She looks a bit older than the other actors on Hex, but if she really is around 28, she's not... With Joseph Beattie being 30 and Jamie Davis - 26...

According to the Demons press pack (link posted in the Zoe Tapper thread), Laura Pyper is appearing in episode three as a character called Grace.

Good to see that Shine are still keeping to their policy of re-using actresses who they know are talented and reliable.
I'm no expert on copyright issues, but since Shine are the producers of both Hex and Demons, I remain hopeful that if the latter show is successful and becomes an established part of ITV's line-up, then maybe in the second or third season we'll see Laura and Jemima guest star as Ella and Thelma, wrapping up the loose storylines from Hex. It all depends on whether Sky have any legal hold on Hex and it's characters. Even so, you'd think Sky would consider an appearance by our favourite Anointed One and lesbian ghost on Demons to be a useful piece of cross-promotion that would help shift quite a few Hex DVD boxsets.

Laura's episode of Demons, in which she plays Grace, is aptly titled... 'Saving Grace'.
I've given up keeping track of the time of the episodes until the day of broadcast as they move around so much - even the first one was delayed by FA Cup coverage. But it's apparently been moved slightly to 7.40pm on 17th January (see link in post above).

Hello there! Well, I can't say that I really enjoy "Demons" much as a series, but nevertheless I thought Laura did well as Grace, particularly given that she had no dialogue for her first few scenes! Anyway, I've added inofrmation about her appearance as well as screen caps to the Laura site: www.laura-pyper.comAlso included is some stuff on Laura's appearance in "Silent Witness". What with all these emotionally wrought roles, I fully agree that it would be nice now to see Laura in something cheerful and funny!

Looking good Rob, thanks for the update. Here's hoping we get news of a cheerier role for Laura some time soon! It's a pity they killed her off in Demons so she can't return the next time Mr Tibbs makes an appearance. Oh well - maybe he can capture and cage Jemima Rooper or Amber Sainsbury next time around.
