So what has she been up to recently? Punk Rock, which finished its UK tour last month - don't think anything else has been announced, unfortunately. Hopefully we'll see more from her in 2011.

Laura Pyper and Yasmin Paige ( The Sarah Jane Adventures) were the readers of 'The Meeting Point' by Lucy Caldwell, which was featured in Radio 4's Book at Bedtime programme earlier this year. It's not available on iPlayer anymore but you can listen to it at Lucy Caldwell's website here (scroll down to find the link).

There's this, for Laura fans who are in and around London or willing to do some travelling: Danger: Memory!, by Arthur Miller, at Jermyn Street Theatre, an off West End venue, in Piccadilly, central London from 28 June to 23 July 2011.
Cast includes David Burke (Leo), Anna Calder–Marshall (Leonora), Adrian Grove (Tierney), Laura Pyper (Clara), Rolf Saxon (Kroll), Roger Sloman (Fine).
CLARA is a detective story sparked by the murder of a young woman in the roughest part of New York. Her father is the chief suspect. Source

What a sweet little film, with a wonderfully endearing performance from Laura. Thanks for finding it and posting the link, orokiah. Hmm. Post- Hex, Michael Fassbender has become a bona fide movie star, Christina Cole, Jemima Rooper and Zoe Tapper are all highly visible due to frequent appearances on television, film & stage, and Amber Sainsbury nabbed a high profile supporting role in the hit Hollywood movie 30 Days of Night before embarking on a self-imposed hiatus to concentrate on more-fulfilling charity work. They all fully deserve their success, but it's a shame that by comparison Laura Pyper seemingly remains stuck at the level of 'jobbing/bit part actress'. Unfortunately, neither Hex or the BBC adaptation of Emma have provided her with the big break that she deserves.

The teaser trailer for Isle of Dogs: www.youtube.com/watch?v=r3acVMK9hhgWarnings: lots and lots of blood and a bit of bad language. And seemingly a few spoilers too (for Laura Pyper's character, among others). I can't remember if Isle of Dogs is supposed to be a comedy...but that's sort of how it comes across in this trailer.
