I just started watching Hex season 2 on BBC America and I've had to go back and catch up on season 1 via DVD.
You may want to see/read the following:
"Wings of Desire" and "Far Away So Close"
Both are movies, in German, by Wim Winders, and they are about Gregori who choose to fall to earth. Great music too.
"The Incarnations of Immortality" by Piers Anthony. This is a series of books that have an interesting take on Death, God, the Devil, etc.
I just adore Hex and these kind of shows because, as much as poor plot lines sometimes cause confusion, I love to create my own complete theory about what happened.
I just wanted to share some books and movies that have helped me in my thought process.
Growing up Catholic, I was already very familiar with the choirs of angels and the book of Enoch, even though it's not in the bible, so I pretty much knew right way that the show was talking about the Watchers and not the Nephilim.
Maybe this has been mentioned before but my current running theory is that Azazeal is not Lucifer. Azazeal fell after Lucifer and for very different reasons. Lucifer is the higher power that asks him to leave at the beginning of Season 2 (in America). Azazeal was Watcher who are the lowest form of angels so it does not surprise me that he can feel emotion and produce a child. I don't know if I would believe that Satan, a Seraph, could mate with a human.
Any way I digress...

That sounds interesting. I admit a great deal of the Biblical fodder in Hex perplexes me as I'm agnostic thus I've not really been brought up around such beliefs. But it does interest me somewhat! *Runs to the library*.
