Comments and suggestions also welcome! I know a good place to rent. Some music can be arranged (my cousin is a DJ and also does a killer karaoke!) and food and random stuff like that! Leave it to me, I'll start trying to arrange something if most people can get to Birmingham or nearby! Important: If the party does go ahead, you need to sort out your own travel and accomodation arrangements. Also, it'll be invitation only (obviously, the place I rent will need to know who's coming, etc), so make sure, if it goes ahead, that you get yours in the mail! To help pay for it, tickets will most likely be sold for about £5 each. Not expensive, considering some "conventions" (if that's what you wanna call it) can cost up and over £30.

Okay, I've just written this letter, addressed to SHINE ENTERTAINMENT (the people who are actually behind Hex) To Whom it may concern,
My name is Rachel Jackson, I run the top Hex fansite over at www.strangethoughts.co.uk, I have previously contacted you regarding several subjects on Hex, in which you've helped me tremendously and of which I am very grateful.
I am writing to you presently to inform you that, in honour of Hex and the upcoming series 2 and DVD release, I am planning a "Strange Thoughts Hexen Convention" that I would like to host in Birmingham by invitation only - a way of letting Hex fans know that there's alot of us around and of course to pay homage to the series.
Of course I understand that you have a busy job, but I write to ask if there is possibly anything that Sky could possibly do to help. Whether it be to provide small prizes for us to give away at the convention or possibly to contact cast members on our behalf, it would greatly be appreciated.
Thanks very much for taking the time to read this e-mail. Kindest regards,
Rachel Jackson www.strangethoughts.co.ukI have no idea if it'll warrant any reply, but it's worth a try. I've also sent the same e-mail out to people at Sky One and Freud. So we'll see!

sounds good, even if they just back us up. For people who are travelling in it's worth putting together a list of accomadation or somewhere that's cheap. Travelodge for example do family rooms that 4 people can share for about £50 - a bargain. If you need help with anything, give me a yell.

Okay, Tanya Love, the Drama Coordinator over at SHINE has e-mailed me and wrote this: Dear Rachel, How great to hear about your convention, we are glad to hear how much you love Hex. Can you let me know when you are planning to hold your convention and we will do our best to get you some interesting memorabilia from the show. As you no doubt know, we are currently shooting Series 2 which is shaping up to be even more fantastic than the first, we hope you'll agree. Best wishesWe're in the game, people!

You making a page on the web site? Tis done and done, including a PayPal link where you can buy the tickets (you can enter a quantity incase you want more than 1). I'm gonna upload the page when I've booked the venue, so I can post a map, directions, etc, etc. DD - that'd be great, thanks!
