I just found out that someone I work with, and am very good friends with has just committed suicide. He was only 23 years old and he had a girlfriend and quite a few friends. He did have emotional problems, and I'm guessing was pushed over the edge when he lost his job and baby last month. I feel sorry for him. Apparently he slit his wrists yesterday or the day before. I can't believe that he did it.

I'm really sorry to hear that hon. It's a very hard thing to deal with because it has no reason to it, not like an accident or an illness. Hang in there. x

Thanks. I feel sorry for my mate Chantelle, she was a complete wreck, and they wouldn't even let her go home from work. All they did was offer her a cup of tea for a chat. I'm obviously upset by it, but I can generally deal with news like that, but she's a bit more "frail" than me and was really broken up about it. Selfish people.

Why do people think tea solves all problems!?! bless her... Do you want us to remove the FanFiction considering the ending we gave it?

You all worked hard on it and doing it won't change what happened so you can leave it up. It's just such a shame that he had to die at all. We all knew he was upset about things, but he didn't even leave a note saying why.

It's hard to accept why people do it and even if they leave a note it doesn't answer all the questions. It's a shame he got to that point where he couldn't go on. A guy from my school's brother committed suicide in a very horrible and public way. Was terrible, I felt so bad but there's only so much you can say

That's true. Jim's best friend Ramon won't speak to anyone at all, he's so cut up about it. None of us can understand what could have been going through his mind. Chantelle keeps saying we should have rang him when he lost his job, but his phone broke months ago. I keep trying to tell her that there probably wasn't much anyone could have done.

I think with such situations you have to take the happier line that whatever was hurting him that much is gone now. It's over with and wherever he is now he's got some peace.

I'm very sorry to hear that, obviously there's not a lot anyone can say to make it better, but have a cyber hug and pass it on to your friend as well

I do not know what to say. I see posts like this and I don't know what to say that sounds fake...or might upset people...but if you don't post something you might make people think that you are inconsiderate... ...there's a heartwarming message of support in here...but I really cannot figure out what to say or who to put it. I hope you and your friends get through this...

Thanks, Matt I appreciate the post, that's enough. I miss him so much, it's horrible. Everything at work reminds me of him, especially getting on the bus and eating in the canteen. It sounds silly, but we used to hang out there and joke about the "cardboard" sausage rolls in the vending machine. I remember once, I was working by myself and it was so busy I didn't have time to breathe, so he stopped what he was doing to come all the way over the other side of the building to make me a cup of tea! That's what a good guy he was.
