Does anyone else watch this show, i can't wait for the season finale on E4 next week, looks like it's going to be really cool.

LOL. I really like it, it does though have some lame episodes, which are just usueless which are obviously filler eps. I don't think the actress that plays lana can act at all though, i mean yeah she's pretty but can't act lol. Allison mack who plays chloe on the other hand is an amazing actress who doesn't get any credit at all. This series has been the best so far IMO!!, can't wait for series 5, hopfully clark will learn to fly  . There must be some other fans of smallville on here  . |

Huge Smallville fan here, but I really do not think that Season Four has been the best, the worst probably. The episodes have reverted to freak of the week story-led plots rather than the character led stuff.
The season arc has been rather weak (the elements thing that Clark has more-or-less had no part in apart from about two episodes) it does look good for this week which suggests that he finally finds The Fortress Of Solitude in the artic.
The best thing about Smallville has always been the Luthors, they've been the best part and are the only reason that some episodes are good at some points.
And Clark will NOT fly in Smallville on his own. The aim of the series was 'no tights, no flights' - so we won't see him fly regularly.

I'm just against Smallville. If you like it, fairy fluff, but being a comic reader of Superman as a kid and a fan of the original Reeves movies growing up, i find it an insult to a fantastical character. My two pence  |

As a Superman fan also, (okay - admittedly I haven't read that much of the comics, only a few) I like it's fresh new view on things...when it does it right.
And Erica Durance is so much better at Lois than Teri Hatcher.

ooh I hated those 'new adventures'. Teri Hatcher is just annoying. She should stick to crappy Hallmark films. And don't get me started on the sci-fi-B-movie-reject that is Dean Cain....  |

I thought series 2 was the wost series, 1 & 4 are the best IMO...others are alright. Yes the luthors are great, i love it when they have screen time together, pa & lex . I keep hearing no tights, no flights, but i also keep hearing that he will fly....abit LOL. The witch storyline with lana went on FAAAAR too long, it's obvuois they just did that because they had to keep in lana someway, i want her out of the show. I don't think erica is good as lois she looks WAY to old to be a 19 year old ..i mean please!!!, teri was great in the new adventures of superman . I never read the comics though, never read any comics in my life. |

Hmm...too old? You do know Tom Welling was 25 when he was playing fifteen-year-old in Season One...right?
Season 2 was just brilliant, it had Red Kryptonite, Pete finding out and a mass of character-led storylines that were engaging and it was before the Clark/Lana scenes began to become really tiresome. There some amazing episodes in Season two, Exile, Accleration, Red, Insurgance (best episode yet), Lineage, Witness and not to mention Rosetta, a must for any Superman fan (come on, John Williams' movie theme when you first see Christopher Reeve...)
Season One was okay, but it got dragged down in the freak-of-the-week stuff. Season Three got a bit mixed up with the Adam storyline, but was an improvement.
Season four's just bleh. Lana has to survive though and marry Pete before Pete goes and becomes Vice President to President Luthor...

Yes, tom welling was 25, but he's playing superman, & he's excused t be looking older & taller than everyone else heheh. I liked parts of series 2, as you said the red k was good, LOVED bad clark . But I HATED the clana & the chloe/lana/clark lovr triangle got really really boring. The last episode was excellent, even though e4 ruined it all bu giving away the ending before the ep had aired GRRR. |
