You're right, there is. I mean, I've used i think just one whole song on a video (Helena - MCR) but that's it.
Besides, at first all I had to go on was the trailer footage I had, and most of it was the same stuff, so how can you get 4 minutes out of about 2 minutes of footage when it's hard enough finding good stuff in 45 minutes?

What bugged me about him was that he didn't come HERE and tell me "to my face" as it were. Also, he didn't say the videos were bad, just that they were short, which is hardly grounds to say they suck lol

I'd like to see his defence, I mean people put their video's up here to share them and get comments/criticism but to say they suck is a bit out of hand, especially when they're not even a member and haven't contributed their own video.
Plus you're absolutely right about the footage, there's not many ways you/we can get longer clips to use (legally).
Grr.

hmm, agreed, really if he has an critique, he should post on this board rather than the kind of us and them situation that seems to keep happening at the moment. We're not that bad are we?   I've posted as much on the sky one board too. I don't like fan conflicts, they're unecessary especially snarky comments. |

Like I said, it just bugged me that rather than e-mailing me or leaving me a message here, he decided to talk ABOUT me and my 'lack of talent'.
I don't mind if he doesn't like my videos, that's a fair opinion, however, to say "They suck" with no backup apart from 'they're too short' is silly.
The length shouldn't matter, it's the quality of the video, the song used, the clips used, etc... Personally 4 minutes can be a bit long just to watch clips, especially if there's no "art" involved.
