oh my god those episodes were good....especially the whole Abruzzi thing. I've seen right up to the end of the series. I swear I was literally on the edge of my seat, clinging on the cushion for dear life for the last two episodes. Oh. my. god.

There was a British TV series screened in the early 1950s called Colonel March of Scotland Yard, with Boris Karloff as the title character, a detective assigned to the Department of Queer Complaints. His job was to investigate strange & inexplicable events, such as bizarre murders, seemingly impossible crimes, 'locked room'-type mysteries, and other unexplained phenomenon.
Therefore (unless anyone knows different), I believe it was probably the first TV show about a paranormal investigator, pre-dating American series such as The Sixth Sense and Kolchak: The Night Stalker by two decades.
Satellite channel Performance are screening a feature length edition of Colonel March of Scotland Yard (actually three half hour episodes edited together) on Monday 03/07/06 at 20:00. The show was filmed live, with cheap cardboard sets, but I'm definitely going to be tuning in to watch a little piece of genre TV history.

Is anyone else enjoying the American sitcom How I Met Your Mother? It was being shown on BBC3 on Monday nights and repeated on BBC2 the following Sunday.
Several people mentioned on the The last movie you saw thread that they're fans of Coupling, and How I Met Your Mother has a strong Coupling-like vibe.

Yeah, I think I started watching around the same time as you Louie I think the first series I ever seen was the one when Shaz (I think she was called that? Blonde spiky hair, Deni's girlfriend) came in, then in the finale, Deni and Shell escaped and trapped Bodybags husband in the coffin and set it on fire (hehe) Think that was series 3. I love Natalie Buxton. Shes such a psycho. But the Costa Cons ROCK and Tina is sweet. BRING BACK SELENA!! (I still miss her )

oh you guys have gotta watch the earlier seasons they are just the best, especially with characters like Nikki and Helen!!!! Nikki was an inmate and Helen was a.......ummm well she was something important in the prison...and they had a love affair and it was so good!!!!!
what the hecky pecky happened with Selena and Chris anyway??? they didn't even give that storyline closure!
I miss Babs hehehehehe.
I thought the whole Yvonne death was horrific it really upset me lol i just kept thinking about it for days afterwards......what a horrible way to die!
I love the Costa Cons they bring such great comedy to the show.

Anyone else watching Time Trumpet on BBC2 at 22:00 on Thursday nights? The idea behind the show is that it's a programme being screened in the year 2031, looking back at important & key events that - from our perspective - haven't happened yet. Great concept, but the execution seems a little hit and miss. However, some moments are absolutely hilarious. The scene in yesterday's episode when David Cameron was interviewed on Monkey Donkey Question Time was probably the funniest thing I've seen this year.

hmm...interesting. I'll have to try and watch it. TV has been pretty dire recently actually. I think I'm feeling it more because I'm holiday and realise that there's just hours and hours of crap on TV!
