I've just started watching One Tree Hill. It's typically young hot rich kids in america but hey it passes the time on a Sunday night...

Is anyone else enjoying the American sitcom How I Met Your Mother? It was being shown on BBC3 on Monday nights and repeated on BBC2 the following Sunday. I'm still really enjoying How I Met Your Mother, but I've noticed that it's no longer shown on BBC3. In addition, last Sunday BBC2 screened two episodes of the show, and this coming Sunday they're showing three episodes! I can only guess that the viewing figures have been disappointing and now the Beeb are rushing through the series in order to get it out of the way. If I'm right, it means they're unlikely to purchase the show's second season, which will be a shame. Hopefully one of the satellite channels will pick it up.

Did anyone see Ancient Rome: The Rise and Fall of an Empire last night? Sheer entertainment from start to finish, and I actually learned something too (assuming they didn't sacrifice accuracy for dramatic value?) - you can't say fairer than that. Plus the actor playing Nero (I think it was Michael Sheen) was absolutely fantastic.

New series of the excellent Extras and the not-bad That Mitchell and Webb Look. The second week was better than the first week with more belly-laughs.
Plus I keep saying Numberwang.

That's Numberwang!
I thought the self doubting Germans in the first episode were hillarious...and the banana dance.
Extra's was funny but it's somewhat predictable.
Anyone else been watching Afterlife? It's about the only vaguely interesting thing on at the moment, although last weeks episode was pretty easy to figure out from the get go. I'm just about to watch last night's episode.
I'm quite enjoying A Town Called Eureka at the moment, it's distracting fun.

I'm hooked on Hollyoaks In The City for some reason. Some good characterisation (although some characters seem to be complete filler at the moment unless they're built up for some convergence later on) and some great cliffhangers...

I'm currently enjoying the repeats of Broken News on BBC4, Wednesdays at 21:30. I saw the series when it was originally screened on BBC2 last year, and watching it again has made me realise I'd forgotten just how good it is.
For anyone unfamiliar with the show, it's a spoof of 24 hour news channels, focusing on how minor stories are over-sensationalised, the inane banter between anchorpeople, and the desperate attempts to fill airtime when there's nothing further to report (one of my favourite lines in the series is "Coming next, a reminder of everything you're just heard").
I think it's one the cleverest and best written comedy shows in years, but it didn't do too well in the ratings first time round - the reason why it's quietly being repeated in the backwater of BBC4. That, together with the fact with it was a very expensive series to make (there were fifty to sixty regular characters, all played by different actors and actresses), means that it's unlikely we'll see a second series.

I've been watching series three of the Golden Girls, seriously those girls make me pee my pants with laughter. Ahahaha my friend is obsessed with the Golden Girls, he always switches it on at 9 in the morning after we've all been drinking the night before ;D I love Rose, she's sooo dosy haha. Just watched the first episode of Lost, Season Three *SPOILERISH* No Charlie as of yet Although Jack's flashback was actually interesting for once! They usually bore me to tears!
The whole episode has left me very confused...When Ben told Kate the next 'two weeks' were going to be unpleasant- Why two weeks? And why is Jack not in the cages as well? And who's that other locked up lad? And is that Juliet Desmond's ex or have I got that completely wrong? God, SO many questions as per usual Although I have to say, the others little village looks quite cosy!
Next week looks good...But it'll be BETTER if Charlie is in it, I adore him ;D
