Otherwise as the "blonde moments" thread (no offense to natural blondes, seeing as I am one). I just dont something extremely stupid...
Just paid £380 deposit for my volunteer thing in Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe next year. I took £200 out of my old account and paid it into my new account, then sent a cheque off to them. I was panicking when I saw the £200 hadnt gone into my account so I phoned up (my bank does 24 hours advice) and asked why it hadnt gone in. I withdrew £200 from my overdraft in my new account thinking it was my old one and then paid it back into the same account...of course I couldnt be convinced of this, the guy on the phone spent ten minutes arguing with me about it- and seeing as he's working the graveyard shift I can imagine he's tired and peed off. I just went and checked and he's right. What a total idiot.
Make me feel less bad by sharing your daft moments please!

oooh I had a similar moment like that one once... I was paying my rent by online banking....except I accidentally clicked on the wrong direct debit and ended up donating over £500 to Amnesty International. Thankfully I called the bank up straight away and they recalled it, but I was sweating I can tell you and the woman on the phone laughed with me and said Amnesty must have thought I was very generous for about 5 minutes there! doh!

If its money related moments, I once needed to get out £20 from a cash point, put my card in, selected the money, card came out so i put it back in my wallet (can you see where this is going...?) Walked off with the money still left in the machine! Didn't even notice till a few hours later!
If anyone here picked it up can i have it back please?

Ouch, that was very lucky DD! Yeah, I've done the cash machine thing too...at least twice. I've also left my card in the machine.

I was sending an email to a colleague at work and it was gossiping nonsense about someone with work with and her 'history' with one of the managers (hehe) and after I'd clicked 'send' the email highlighted in my inbox was from my branch manager, I thought I'd replied to his mail by mistake.eep. My heart actually jumped into my throat I was like 'I'm fired. I'm so fired. For sending a stupid sodding email' Luckily....I was wrong. Not the same as the money things but a daft panicky moment none-the-less

As a natural blond I am accustomed to these incidents
The least embarrassing one is that I was talking to someone on the phone & they were telling me some secret stuff but it was really juicy gossip so I was texting it to someone & sent it before I realised that I just sent it to the person I was on the phone with who was making me promise not to tell
I also have many 'bank' ones that shan't be told!!!

Oh dear, one that springs to mind - I was browsing through a book in history and turned to my friend, thinking I knew what I was looking at, saying "France looks a bit different in this book" having just read the words "French" on it, She gives me the most weird look and says "France?! No wonder it looks different! That's Africa!!" I thought it had gained a bit in the way of extra territory.... There are loads more, but that's the only one I can repeat before 9pm...
