I only watched a bit of firefly (haven't watched the movie yet), and from what I've read from movie critics, the film seems to have the same problems as the series did...

ok i watched it and did not think that it was that great not enough action I watched it having not seen any of the series, the thing that got me most was the story and characters rather than the action. Having watched the film, I purchased Firefly the series, and wasn't one bit dissapointed with it. I think i'll be buying the DVD when it comes out.

The movie was made for anyone to watch. If they don't like it, it doesn't mean they weren't meant to watch it!

For fans of Firefly and Serenity, here's a clip from the Halloween episode of actor Nathan Fillion's new series Castle, in which he plays an author of best-selling crime novels who assists the police in solving difficult real-life cases. It's one big, wonderful in-joke; www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Q3pdj9p6yI
