I remember driving through the forest a something like last year around this time. There was this song playing on the radio in my car, the refrain went something like "I'm a girl at the freak show"...it had great lyrics but I can't remember what they are..they never said the artist's name on air, it was definitely a girl-fronted band. I must admit it's been bugging me ever since, so if anyone happens to have any suggestions as to what that song could be, I would love to check them out and satisfy this curiosity. I don't really know why it stayed with me for so long.  |

tried it!! Basically the only song that comes up is by some rapper and involve dirty words!!

The only thing I cna think of is Freak Show- Jaded Faith but I VERY MUCH doubt its by them.

thanks, i really appreciate it, but I've been racking my head for a year and I can't remember anything else...
except maybe....kicking *something* at the sidewall, that was part of the refrain...
it was so early in the morning when I heard it it rather floated in my subconscious rather than stuck in my head, you know?
as for radio stations, well it was The Coast, a Michigan State radio station, I forget the tuning.
Definitely not UKish though.

Are you sure its an all girl band?
I recognise the lyrics 'girl at the freak show', from Acid Baths song dead girl, but there is no way they were fronted by a girl.

I attempted to google for song lyrics featuring the words "freakshow" and "sidewall" as they're not the most common words.
Then i tried sidewalk instead and got a link for a Stretch Princess song called "Freakshow"; the refrain is
"when i feel like a reject from a freakshow
picking up the white trash from the sidewalk
listening to the sad songs on the radio
i wanna go home"
