I agree. It really scares me when someone says, "I'd die for my faith/belief,". I know it's their choice, but it hacks me off when, for example, the London Bombings, or there are people spreading hatred and encouraging suicide bombings happen.

exactly. I think the London Bombings revealed a lot about faith in this country both bad and good.

What I don't understand is if someone of a certain religion is a threat to not only our conutry, but to everyday lives, why are they still in the country. If they hate it so much we might as well ship them back home!

because it's not that simple, some of the London bombers were British Muslims ie they were born here so their home is here. Don't make the mistake of confusing religion with nationality.

True. I'm not a racist person, but I don't see why people who are threats should be allowed here, even if it isn't that simple. I like to think I'm not narrow minded, but when people at my college say they'd die for their faith etc sometimes it comes across as an attack on people like me because we don't follow their religion.

yeah I get what you mean. It's just a very very complicated issue and imprisonment or internment doesn't seem to solve terrorism, just look at Northern Ireland or Camp X-Ray.

You know the riots that Muslims are having over those Cartoons? Fair enough it's out of order, but some people have really anti signs like "Behead all those who...Islam" something like that, and someone turned up as a suicide bomber *dressed as one* That's really scary...

Im an athiest by the way. I have no problem with those who do have a religion, and I wouldnt go out of my way to be hurtful and disrespectful to them, because its there views. But personally, I dont agree with religion. Its caused a lot of wars and I think the world would be a better place without it.

I feel really bad for the moderate Muslims who have frantically been on TV trying to undo the damage that extremeists have been doing.

Does anyone else feel like the world has gone even more bonkers recently?

Yeah, not a nice moment in time right now really...

Religion just leads to agitation - they all rub other religions up the wrong way and think they're the right ones...but that's just how I see it.

I don't know if I said this but the only religion I'd ever get involved with if I decided to re associate myself with it would be Buddhism but that's only IF I ever do.
