a friend of mine wanted me to go with her to the Isle of Wight festival but I looked at the line-up and with the exception of Lou Reed, it's full of the most twee bands known to man!

Ohmygod, Ive never been to a festival, but surely camping is the best part of it? ;D I might be going to Glastonbury next year with my older sister, if my mam gets over her "But she'll buy you Class A drugs" complex... |

Yeah but I hate The Foo Fighters, they're dull, Prodigy - same old same old, Coldplay *yawn*, Goldfrapp - overplayed and annoying and the less said about Richard Ashcroft the better except to say that if Chris Martin thinks he's the best singer in the world it explains a hell of a lot about why Coldplay are so boring. Lou Reed is cool and Placebo are cool and that is that, absolutely not worth £100 to me, I just wouldn't pay that much for that line up personally. But then....just my opinion.  |

I don't think I'd pay that much money for those bands either. But as you said, that's personal opinion for some people seeing those bands together at one time would totally be worth the money. I'd like David Bowie, Damien Rice, Velvet Revolver, Bon Jovi, Lou Reed, Placebo, Creed and Sigur Ros together at a festival. lol. Now that I'd have to see...... I've never been to a festival, lots of individual gigs but no collective gatherings. I'd like to experience Reading or Glastonbury but at the end of the day it's a lot of money and a lot of mud haha that's not to say I won't ever go  |

I never said I WASN'T opinionated. I was just pointing out why the IOW festival doesn't appeal to me and as I said, everyone is entitled to their opinion, however if I'd added 'and everyone who likes these bands is clearly a labotomised ape' then I'd just be a shitbag. LOL |

Now heres a lineup i wouldn't mind paying £100 for.... Shakira Madonna Garbage The Corrs KT Tunstall Sugababes oh and what the hell lets throw Kate Bush in there too! That would be my ideal festival....plenty of eye candy too lol IOW Festival lineup is brilliant though!  |
