No one is saying you're doing on purpose with the intention of spamming the board, however to other posters that is how it's seemed. Kneetroll has just asked that you don't do it anymore. We all seem to be able to find plenty to discuss on this board without the need for articles in other threads, so how about joinging in on those for a bit and giving the articles a rest? How about I just explain what the news is and tell people where they can find it without posting a link if you like to take my word at face value. However I have noticed other people including yourself have posted links on this forum. Also I find it a bit contradictory for Kneetroll to thank me for the news about Michelle only for her to attack me for posting it (I mean come on closing a thread simply because it is news about Michelle being on House is not a valid reason to close it). Make up your mind. If it is something worth discussing it isn't spam (other forums don't seem to think so) and the time I spent here should at least be appreciated not condemned like that. By the way I did not intend for this to be a general thread on House (not attacking you Matt). This is because I was hoping to find a House thread when I posted news about Michelle. Since there wasn't one at the time, I decided to post it as a thread of its own. I am in Australia and this would mean people would be posting about episodes I have not yet seen. "This is not SPAM. These are the facts. F-A-C-T-S."

By the way I did not intend for this to be a general thread on House (not attacking you Matt). Then why call it The House Thread? Surely people are gonna think it's a general house thread!!!

I changed the thread name to create it.
matthewsee; the problem that Kneetroll and DreamDangerously are getting at is that your posts seem to consist of 'quote: link'. And that's it. Nothing much at all.
I get your point; I do. And I know where you are coming from. The argument against you is that you are spamming links and such with no real attempt to actually promote views or opinions on it for other posters to actually hold a discussion about it. Again, I know the point you are trying to make - but you need to try and encourage a comment or a point to get a good discussion out of it.
And about the lack of a general House thread; you could've made one! You could've made a post saying something like:
Even later in the thread; you could even do something like:
See? That's not spam; that's contributing a discussion and showing some of your personality in the process. Most of your posts appear to be news reports that show nothing about what you are like! If there's just posts of links then that's spam.
I'm sure that there has been a misunderstanding; and I'm certain that this is just water under the bridge.

*points up* what he said. No one is trying to devalue your membership of the board or comment on your pesonality or anything like that matthewsee, I think you're taking this far too personally. We've all been slapped on the wrists for something at one point or another. All that anyone is asking is that you join in or create a discussion around what you're posting, rather than just posting the link. We'd love to know what you think of the articles, how you feel about them, etc. Then we can get to know you better. Yes myself and others have posted links in the past but as a rule we'll also make a comment about it or ask peoples oppinions, even something as simple as "I found this really funny, what do you think?" or "Isn't this interesting?" is opening a dialogue. This board is a friendly place, we just want people to interact. How about we call this discussion a day? We all know what the rules on links are now so how about we just move on, this could rumble on for weeks to no-one's benefit, lets get back to the good stuff about this board.

Ahem.....on the subject of House....i am i right in thinking the young doctor in it also played Billy Kennedy in Neighbours? it is him isn't it? Oh and for an example of Hugh Laurie being somewhat attractive i think he looked very dashing in Sense and Sensibility!

These are the facts. F-A-C-T-S." I didn't close the thread. In fact I said "I'm not closing the thread" if you read it. I've had enough, Matthew. Stop arguing with everyone. What I say goes here and that's the end of it. This isn't other forums. People here seem happy to follow the rules I make and you are the only person who is intent on arguing about them and breaking them. You're entitled to start discussions, and if they include an external link, so be it. But you are NOT starting a discussion. You're posting a link with very little else. This, on MY board (note: MY board) is SPAM. End of story. If you don't like it, I've got over 300 other members who do. And yes, I have read above, they chose to leave it, but they said that before and you still carried on. One more comment about it and I will lock the thread. Enough said. Back on topic... DD - Hugh certainly ain't a pretty boy, but isn't that a good thing? There are far too many calvin klein models on tv nowadays. We need some non-man-candy

I don't meen pretty boy pretty...you know I don't dig bumpy muscle bound beach boys anyway. *shudder* I like 'unique' looking men, Eugene Hutz on my avatar for example, I think a hairy Ukranian with a handlebar moustache is sexy for goodnes sake! hehe. I just mean that in my eyes, he doesn't even have the sexy older man going on. He's just...Hugh Laurie.

Ah I getcha. Just the random bloke who goes to the pub with Dad kinda guy?
Mind you his real accent is rather charming I think lol. Shame abooot the face!
Also, since I've never watched it... is House like a rough-n-tough medical drama or something? Cos I only saw trailers!

I dunno - I can see why he's attractive. The rugged look compared to the foppish Prince Regent...
