DVD - back ups?

Hi,
I heard you can Back up your dvd's legally incase anything happens to them etc on the program DVD Shrink but when i put my disk in it doesn't work , it comes up with a error message !!!.

Has anyone else managed to back -up their hex dvds and if so what program did you use ior is their a way around it on dvdshrink?

Please someone reply asap its driving me mad!!!

Yeh I backed my up on my hard drive with DVD shrink.

I've never heard of backing up a DVD before! Perhaps this DVD shrink's official site can help?

... also I think I'll move this to General since it's not technically about Hex.
