I know this seems a pretty limited choice, but they are basically the places either I or someone else on the board knows well enough to be able to know where is good to go/stay. If you have a genius solution for somewhere, add it for consideration. Basically they have to be places with good road/rail links for people travelling in.
We'll see how this goes. Remember that cheapo hotel is an option so you don't necessarily need to be able to get there and back in one day and if push comes to shove, if it's London I can put people up in my lil flat of joy.

I know London the best out of the options and it's easiest for me to get to plus I never normally go there alone so it's easiest for me trainwise rather than sodding around in Birmingham or somewhere

I chose Birmingham because that's the closest I'm comfortable with travelling out on my own.
Because finding my way around the great hulking behemoth that is London? No chance, sorry. I have difficulty finding the way out of my own room. So I have no chance in the capital.

I'm with Matt. Aside from living "next door" as it were to Matt actually in Brummyham, I'm awful with directions and would do no good in London at all.
Perhaps somewhere closer to Englefield so we can all spend the day in the gardens outside the house?

London is closest to me and easier for me to get to, and I'm confident enough travelling there alone, but not to Birmingham, as I've never been there in my life, so I wouldn't be so confident.

Reading is an option, daytrip to Englefield, plenty of pubs for the evening. Only trouble is a) I don't drive so I couldn't ferry people about and b) Reading can get lairy at night and I don't know it well enough to know where's good and bad. (although I know some people who do!)

Anywhere further North than Oxford is probably too far for me and White Witch because we are both younger and don't earn that much dough so can't travel very far! Although sumwhere like Reading would be fine and its ok at night. At least it was fine when I went to Reading festival so unless it's different at other times?!
And I wouldn't trust either of us roaming around London by ourselves!

last chance to vote on this one as well. It's looking horribly like a tie at the moment, if it stays that way then the fairest thing I can think of is to ask whoever voted Manchester to PM me and tell me which out of London or Birmingham gets their vote as they'll have the decider.
