This is a new movie on ABC Family this Sunday at 8pm. It is also hyped to be a new series, as well. abcfamily.go.com/fallen/index.htmlI saw the commercial from across the room, so I can't comment on the special effects, but there are wings...wings, wings wings. (I like wings, by the way.) It's based on a book series by Tom Sniegoski. *poof*

I'm trying to figure out if it was just a coincidence that this movie came out less than 2 months after hex started to air or not. It's so weird that this movie deals with Nephilim as well. I'd never heard of them before hex. I almost fell off my couch when I saw the advert!

The first time I heard of the Nephilim was in "The Prophecy" movies.
I'm actually looking forward to see this. Which is strange, because I never watch the shows on ABC Family. Too tame for me. But this looks to be the exception.

Looks intriguing. However, if it does become a series I can't help but feel it will end up becoming similar to such touchy-feely sap as Touched By an Angel or Joan of Arcadia, instead of darker shows like Brimstone and Hex.
Would like to be proved wrong though.

Ok.. for what it was it was really good.. but they left us hanging... I hope I didn't understand the commercial right when they said that it would be next summer before they show anything again... that would be nuts...
Now I am going to have to find the books and read them... damn tv shows..

It was pretty good.. but appearently they have filmed 6 hours worth of the show and only have a few more to go.. I found a website called The Fallen... it explains about the books and so forth... I think it replays on Thursday night..
You can look at the abc family website and check the schedule for it...

I watched it and to me it was just alright. I prefer Hex over Fallen. I haven't looked at the web site yet. I heard the part about the 6 hours of tv footage, must be three 2 hour movies. I was wondering about that part where it was announced the next installment will be next summer too! I thoungt maybe I misunderstood it.

I saw bits and pieces of it last night and it looked good but it didn't fill the two hour slot, which I thought was odd. I loved the dog that talked to Aaron, though. I am such a sap for talking animals.
The show has potential. I am going to check the site out.

Yikes lol. I am so sorry to have to say this, but it sounds like total b*llocks, lol. It sounds like it's gonna be a teenage Touched by an Angel. They've clearly used the word Nephilim to sound cool. If he was a Nephilim he'd be a man-whore lol plus he'd be taller (Nephilim were known as "giants of men" because they were in surplus of 7 feet tall!) Since it's an ABC Family thing, it'll probably have a PG/12A rating, which means there'll be little sex, no swearing and cute little "all american" characters. I can't see it having ANYTHING to do with the Nephilim as history describes them, I can only see it using well-known names and such so that when fans research it, something familiar comes up.

I finally sat down and watched it. It was all right. Nothing to make me go all "woo-hoo" about. I kept wanting to fast-forward through some of it. And the "bad guys" did nothing for me either. The only plus for me, the wings. And even then the special effects could've been better.
It is based on a book series for young teens. So in that respect, it's not going to be that edgy. And I knew that was going to be another reason why I wouldn't like it 100%. The fighting with the "fire swords" was interesting. But that's all, really.
Oh, and the talking dog was cute.

Have discovered while wandering the 'net that another four hour-long episodes of Fallen have recently been broadcast on the ABC Family channel in America. For some reason they were screened as a couple of two-hour pairings; The episodes 'The Time of the Redeemer' and 'Mysterious Ways and All That' were shown on 04/08/07, under the joint title Fallen: The Journey. And on 05/08/07 (or 06/08/07, according to the show's Wikipedia entry) the episodes 'Someone Always Has to Die' and 'Il Gran Rifiuto' were broadcast as Fallen: The Destiny. The angel Azazeal has been included as a character, and apparently the lovely Natassia Malthe is amongst the cast. Here's the series' official site; a51.abcfamily.go.com/movies/fallen/fallen/index.html

I watched them all recently, but I have to say it could've been a lot better. The best character's are-from the first episode the female angel of the powers and in the second and third was the guy who played azazeal (they pronounce it azazel -think hazel with an 'A' in front) The main reason I thought it was unbelieving was due to the fact they had Hal from Malcolm in the Middle play Lucifer! I love the guy he's a great actor but I kept thinking Lois was gonna pop up behind Lucifer at any point. I think if Brian Grant had produced it then it would have been a lot darker and not so (forgive me, my American amigo's) but americany
