Ookay...so some of you might think I'm being silly and don't have a chance in hell...but I'd like alternative opinions and suggestions on this since most of my friends think I don't have a chance in hell...
There's this band that are slowly getting more and more well known here in the UK, and my friend is a huge fan, from when they were just starting out and she promotes them here there and everywhere.
At their last gig she dragged me and another good friend along so she had people to go with. Now, my problem is I'm completely smitten with the Guitarist
, who is drop dead gorgeous but comes across as moody because no one seems to be able to approach him. My friend speaks to the more approachable members now and then and they know her by name and everything, but she's never really spoken to Mr Hottie Guitarist. We think he's a little shy because he seems like too much of a genuinly nice person to just shun people who have come to see them when they've not become huge.
My goal the next time my friend goes along to see them with me in toll, is to somehow get near the guitarist and buy him a drink, or alternatively slip him my number or get his number without seeming like I just want to try my luck because they're getting famous, which is making it difficult with the more reconigtion their getting. My friends are sick of me whining about how he always disappears and will also never let me forget chickening out on doing this now I've mentioned the idea to them.
I really want to at least try, but I'm not sure how to approach it. I don't want to come across as a teeny obsessed fan either, because I only go to the gigs to enjoy the music and perv on him a little.
Last time their was an aftershow party but we couldn't go...well I could but I had commited myself to a party back home so had to get out of London ASAP although I really wanted to stay, it just wasn't feesable. If there's an aftershow party next time I'm hopefully going to go to that and if not, they always walk around before hand so it's just a case of catching him. But if I do catch him...what then? Basically....HELP!!! I need suggestions because I have a tendancy to make a fool of myself and I don't think I'd be able to stand it if he gave me a look that said, 'you idiot'.
Someone has pointed out that I'm setting my sights high, but there's just something about him. One of my friends reckons she caught him checking me out, although I think that's wishful thinking on both our parts. I think I'll regret it if I don't try, and despite all these people who think nothing will come of it apart from a red face on my part, at least I'll know I tried, right?
So....how can I get what I want without sounding like a complete spazzing emo fan (sorry to any Emos, just some of their fans are 13 year old emo girls with way too much hairspray in their hair and they're very annoying!!)
