This seems like the obvious place to be asking questions of a Jemimaish nature... sorry if this has been covered already, couldn't find it! Anyone know if it was really her singing in Sugar Rush, and secondly, anyone know where I can download the song? Twas cool!

I believe it was her....I have no idea where you'd get an mp3 of it though.

Yeah it was her voice, but since it was just part of her TV cameo, I doubt there'd be anywhere you'd be able to download it (unless someone ripped it from the TV show itself, but I don't know who would have done that!)

Have to confess that I'm a HUGE fan of TV presenter Sarah Cawood, and while recently checking the flame-haired vixen's official website I discovered that last year she and Jemima appeared together (with various other celebs) in a photoshoot for New Woman magazine. Here's a link to the three page shoot; macawood.brinkster.net/sarahcawood/toweroflondon.asp

Jemima is this week's subject in the regular ' My and My Wardrobe' feature in the 'Femail' section of today's Daily Mail (16/09/10); Jemima Rooper: "I don't take fashion too seriously, I love the way Lady Gaga dresses." By Nick Mcgrath
Jemima Rooper, 28, stars in the ITV1 remake of Bouquet Of Barbed Wire, and is on the London stage in All My Sons. She’s also appeared in films such as The Black Dahlia and a TV version of The Famous Five, aged 15. She says;
One of the reasons I love acting is that I can dip in and out of so many different dressing-up boxes and I’m naturally drawn to anything shiny and a bit eccentric. I don’t really have a style — if I was left to my own devices, I’d end up looking like a psychedelic clown. I’m very short and I tend to hover between a size eight and size ten. Because I started my career as a teenager playing parts where I was supposed to look like a boy, I’ve never really embraced my femininity. I’ve got a pasty complexion and chicken legs. In fact, I’m quite a rubbish girl really. I do love clothes shopping, though, and my choices tend to be an eclectic blend of High Street staples from Topshop, Urban Outfitters and H&M, quirky pieces from vintage shops, and occasional one-off pieces bought online from ASOS, which I love — it’s easier to shop when you’re in bed. I’ve been doing theatre work over the past few years, so I’ve had to learn to become more frugal. I spend between £100 and £150 a month on clothes. When I was being paid more, doing long stints on TV serials, I splashed out a bit more and once spent £350 on a pair of Vivienne Westwood boots — the most I’ve ever spent on a single item. I don’t like to take fashion too seriously and I’m always on the lookout for something different. I love the way Lady Gaga dresses — although I think the meaty ensemble she was pictured in this week might attract a few too many dogs. I’ve had to endure some pretty terrible outfits in some of the roles I’ve had over the years, but I adored the cap-sleeved Georgian dresses I wore during Lost In Austen. The low necklines were really flattering and I didn’t have to worry about what I’d eaten for lunch. I’m 28 now and I’d still say that my dress sense is scatterbrained, much like the rest of my life, as I never know what’s happening from one day to the next and I think my wardrobe mirrors that. I can feel that I’m getting a bit more mature about my choices. I am starting to seek out more expensive clothes that last longer. However much my tastes mature, though, I’ll always want my wardrobe to retain an element of fun.
WARDROBE CHECKLIST JEANS: I’ve got about four pairs including my favourites — a pair of dark blue ‘jeggings’ from New Look. TROUSERS: Around five pairs. I’ve got quite a lot of those slightly clown-like patterned pantaloons and a mix of others mainly bought from Miss Selfridge or Topshop. TOPS: Right now I’m wearing loads of different-coloured dress tops from a designer called YuMi, stocked by Topshop. They’ve got beaded embroidered necklines, are quirky and I’ve got about ten of them. I also have dozens of very uninspiring T-shits. KNITWEAR: No cashmere or glamorous items, just a few cardigans — worn for warmth. COATS: I’ve got about 20, most of which I haven’t worn for years. The only two of any note are a thigh-length green belted coat from Topshop and a turquoise leather bomber jacket from All Saints. SUITS: I don’t possess a single suit, which is probably a mistake as it’d be handy for auditions where I’m supposed to play a lawyer or someone who works in an office. SHOES: More than 100 in total, from the ridiculously expensive Vivienne Westwood ones to high heels I can’t wear when I leave the house in case I fall over, and a few pairs of cheap old trainers.
Jemima's wardrobe essentials; MONSOON DRESS. I was in a play at the National Theatre on the South Bank and discovered late in the day that a friends’ film was being screened nearby. I didn’t have time to do my hair or make-up and got changed in the toilet at the National. I had bought the dress (top right) on the way to work from Monsoon for £45 and the animal print shoes were £20 from Faith. CREAM DRESS. I'm currently in All My Sons at the Apollo Theatre and, as it’s my first West End show, I wanted to buy something amazing for the press night. I looked at all the designer dresses online, but just couldn’t stomach spending £500 for a dress I was only going to wear once. Eventually, I stumbled on this one, on pretaportabello.com and it cost me just £45, which made me feel very smug indeed. VINTAGE CIRCUS OUTFIT. There's a brilliant vintage shop on the Holloway Road in North London that stocks unusual dresses from the U.S. My favourite one is a cross between a circus outfit and cheerleader’s costume. It’s an all-in-one blue sequined leotard with gold and white bits on it, and these weird wings that kind of come out of it like a breast plate. I wore it to a friend’s leaving do and we ended up in a biker bar. LEATHER BIKER JACKET. My favourite item in my whole wardrobe is a leather biker jacket which I bought years ago when I was filming a Channel 4 show called As If. The costume designer paid £10 for it on Portobello Market and I bought it back at the end of the show for half price. It’s black with a thin white collar and is really warm. LULU GUINNESS BAG. I turned 26 about three weeks into shooting Lost In Austen and the producers sweetly gave me a voucher for Selfridges and I bought a gorgeous little red bag by Lulu Guinness. VIVIENNE WESTWOOD BOOTS. I've got about 100 pairs of shoes, and my Achilles’ heel is for Vivienne Westwood. I’ve now got five pairs, but my favourite are a pair of pirate boots made famous by Kate Moss a few years ago. They’re made from a slouchy leather and they’ve got thick straps and buckles that go over the front. They’re amazing. TAN BROGUES FROM OFFICE. As well as numerous high heels, boots and my trusty pair of Converse boots, I’m a big fan of brogues. My favourite pair are tan ones from Office which are really worn out but comfortable. MONGOLIAN SHEEPSKIN HAT. I bought this on eBay and it’s like one of those big fluffy Russian turban hats with the dangly bits on the sides that you can tie up and wrap round your head. Great for winter. NECKLACE FROM THE MARKET. I’m like a child with jewellery — I like cheap, costume jewellery and the bigger, chunkier and shinier the better. One of my current favourite pieces is big faux gems set on a wide black leather bib-type necklace — it looks a bit like I might have pulled it out of a cracker. I picked it up for not very much at Spitalfields Market.Every woman should have one great pencil skirt - they're so flattering. I wear it with a fitted pinstripe shirt in pink and grey, also from Reiss, a wide belt and heels. It always looks classy. Jemima Rooper stars in the final episode of Bouquet Of Barbed Wire on ITV1 next Monday at 9pm.
