This is a just a polite request really...not any kind of official mod malarky. If people are discussing films and TV shows can we maybe use spoiler font if they're very recent or unlikely to have been seen by everybody. In the spate of catching up on the board after being away I was spoiled for a film and a TV show that I hadn't had the chance to see yet and yes there were text warnings but sometimes it's really hard on a threaded board like this to scroll past fast enough or to not accidentally read the spoiler if it's a generic thread like the film one, plus my browser automatically jumps to the most recent post in a thread and sometimes that lands bang splat in the middle of a post. I'm suggesting that maybe we all try to put spoilers and credible show rumours (for things like Doctor Who) under spoiler font. It's very easily done - you simply highlight your text and change the colour from white to black. Alternately you could start a spoiler thread, making it clear in the heading that's what it is. e.g Doctor Who - Series 4 rumours and spoilers. Also take in to account that we now have a lovely mix of US and UK viewers, keep respective air dates in mind. Sorry to sound grumbly, but it's better than ruining films and shows for people. If there's general agreement, maybe we could make this a kind of unofficial rule?

Sounds fair enough to me, I know I could do with being a bit more vigilant now and then. It's easy to forget other people might not have seen something when you're all enthusiastic (or otherwise) about the thing you're posting about. (Been anywhere nice DD? )

Oh I'm the same...I haven't been as careful about spoilers too much and then I kind of realised when I got spoiled today that perhaps we should be a bit more careful, especially with UK and USA based members.
(just to Suffolk to see my family for a bit - but a change of scenery is always good)

correct, unfortunately I only have moderator rights and only on certain parts of the board. I have emailed Kneetroll about getting admin rights mostly in case of any emergencies given that I'm the only mod who comes on here anymore.
