Okies, so I might as well explain wth I mean by concept thread. These have worked pretty well on other fan forums, and is basically just a place to pool ideas for creativity about a subject.
Have you a great idea for a fan video, but not a clue how to put it together? Have an idea for a story but can't write for toffee? Or just want to see what others think of your wallpaper idea that had been swimming around in your mind for ages, before you bother to make it?
Just post snippets of ideas here, and remember to say whether or not you would mind someone else picking up on and developing your idea further, or whether you just want comments on it.

Okay... suppose I'll kick off meh own thread ;D
I'm currently working on a fan video using the song "Ghost of You" by MCR - yes, it seems they have many songs appropriate for Hexen videos =] I'm basing it on Thelma and Cassie (as did my other video... I see a pattern emerging here! Ah well, I'm a crazy shipper...) and the events in episode 5 - i.e. Thelma realising that her and Cassie can never be, her knowing that after the abortion she will never be able to see Cassie, etc. The giving of the picture is my opening/ending scene, but I wondered what other events should be included. I know Thelmas death has to slip in there somewhere, as seems compulsory for all the hexen fan videos I've seen...
Here are the lyrics to the song, if anyone has any suggestions/comments then please reply! Thanks!
:
I never said I'd lie in wait forever If I died we'd be together I can't always just forget her, but she could try
At the end of the world or the last thing I see You are never coming home never coming home Could I? Should I? And all the things that you never ever told me And all the smiles that are ever ever
Ever, get the feeling that you're never all alone And I remember now At the top of my lungs in my arms, she dies, she dies
At the end of the world or the last thing i see You are never coming home never coming home Could I? Should I? And all the things that you never ever told me And all the smiles that are ever ever
...and all the wounds that are ever gonna scar me and all the ghosts that are never gonna catch me If i fall down

Yeah, thanks for that! I used that snippet in my last video, I love the bitter expression on Thelmas face, you can just see verything that shes feeling, without need for words.
Another thing, I was thinking of having the opeing/ending scenes being more "significant" than the others, or being "present day" scenes, fading to the rest of the video, the rest being in black and white... an effect that usually signifies the past. I wasn't sure how well this would work though, and wondered what everyone thought?

That would be good. And the bit where Cassie has Thelma in her arms after she's been stabbed would fit in perfectly with the lyric 'In the top of my lungs in my arms, she dies'

Okay, the video is nearly done apart from the ending sequence. I love the scence in the hospital where Thelma is sitting in the chair by Cassie's bed, and sliwly "fades" til the chair is empty, as if she is no longer. However in order to make the video fit, I had an opeing and finishing scene - both in Cassie and Thelmas room, during which Thelma is looking at the picture Cassie has given her. Thus, I wanted to replicate the scene but in Cassie and Thelma's room. I have this cap: fading into this photoshopped one: But I'm still not happy with it. I'm useless at covering things up using my crappy PictureIt! program, and personally I'm not happy with my photoshopped image. I wondered if anyone could help me photoshop the top picture into an empty chair any better than my feeble attempt? It would really finish off my video for me
