Applying and removing your lace wig often leads to unhygienic handling as a lot of glue is used that tends to attract germs. To make your wig long lasting, it is highly suggested that you take a proper care. While your wig solves your purpose to make you look elegant, it requires the proper handling and washing to maintain the natural look and shine. You must be careful while selecting your wig cleaning products. Avoid washing more frequently as this will only result in excessive wearing of the lace front wigs.
All you need is wide tooth comb, a foam wig head or a mannequin. Foam wig heads render more ease for washing as they are very light in weight, and it helps for easy securing of the wig while washing. Start combing the hair filaments from the lace front wigs end towards the end of the hair. Work in the outward direction, apply very less pressure and do it gently just like you do to your physical scalp. This removes all the tangles and knots providing very easily manageable wig hair for washing.
Now place the wig in the sink or the wash basin and make sure that you do not remove it from the mannequin. Place it with the mannequin for easy and proper washing. Now saturate it with warm water, take care that the temperature of the water is not too high or not too cold, it requires moderate temperature. Now use a spray bottle to apply the hair wash instead of directly applying it on the hair.
Rub it gently with the fingertips so that it does not create tangles. Once you are done with the massaging, hold the lace wigs unit under the very slow stream of water, this will prevent any harm that occurs with a speedy flow. Wash it to ensure that you remove the hair wash completely. Apply wig conditioner in the same way with the use of a spray bottle. Leave the conditioner on the hair for ten minutes to work. This works same as you do for your natural hair. Use Luke warm water to wash out the conditioner, ensure that you do not leave any residue; any unwashed residue can harm the shine of hair if ignored.
