Everyone Loves Reagan: Everyone Loves Reagan is the first episode of Class: The Audio Adventures: Volume Two from Big Finish Written by Tim Foley. The said Reagan is played by Taj Atwal. Atwal has done other Big Finish work as various characters. Class: The Audio Adventures Volume Two including Everyone Loves Reagan was released in August 2018 and the following year in 2019 Atwal was in two other stories written by Foley that of Day Zero for Torchwood: God Among Us 3 and The Survivor for The War Master: Rage of the Time Lords. Reagan Harper is a student at Coal Hill when all of a sudden everyone loves her. Everyone except April. April is frustrated that everyone loves Reagan as she sensed that something is off with her. Very fascinating this story as April finds out the truth behind Reagan and the satisfying solution that it delivers. Interesting listening afterwards to the interviews with the cast members of this episode. I particularly took it to point to Fady Elsayed (Ram) stating what real friendship truly means.

Now You Know... Now You Know... is the middle episode of Class: The Audio Adventures: Volume Two. Written by Tim Leng. Freak attacks have been happening to pupils and staff leading an investigation by Tanya and Matteusz. Fascinating story as it reveals what the episode title means as this episode deals with the theme of bullying. Hence the title's meaning is now knowing what it is like being a bully. Quite haunting in dealing the bullying theme and pretty good on how the resolution is achieved.
Pretty good the accompanying interviews as the interviewees talked about the said theme of this episode. As someone who was a victim of school bullying both the episode and the interviews definitely resonated with me.
Being a victim of school bullying at Randwick Boys High School in Sydney, Australia was not helped by an incompetent principal Geoff McNeil who did absolutely nothing about it. One particular case is with that of a classmate by the name of William Campbell. He didn't bully himself but he did have two younger brothers who made fun of me but William did nothing about it. Did not reprimand them at all. Did not tell them to stop doing them. As far as I am concerned he was complicit with his younger brothers' actions towards me and therefore should have taken responsibility on this. William Campbell is without a doubt a despicable human being.

In Remembrance: In Remembrance is the final episode of Class: The Audio Adventures: Volume Two from Big Finish. Written by Guy Adams. Guest stars Sophie Aldred as Ace with the episode title being a reference to Remembrance of the Daleks, her debut as a travelling companion to the Doctor, having been introduced in the previous story Dragonfire. In Remembrance is therefore a sequel for Ace to Remembrance of the Dalek and In Remembrance has Daleks in it There is a significance of Daleks being in Class as best explained by TARDIS Wiki: "Outside of Doctor Who, this is the first - and currently only - major appearance of the Daleks in media related to another TV series (not counting original audio series such as Dalek Empire and Dalek Wars)." It seem natural that In Remembrance be a Class sequel to Remembrance of the Daleks as Remembrance of the Daleks and Class are both set in Coal Hill. In Remembrance has Ace being back in Coal Hill and again encounter the Daleks there plus meeting Charlie and Miss Quill. Soon Ace discovered that she has one thing in common with Charlie and Miss Quill and that is the Doctor. In Remembrance is a very good sequel to Remembrance of the Daleks and of the three main characters in Charlie, Quill and Ace, much of it is dominated by the interaction between Ace and Quill. Surprising the reason why Charlie was separated from Ace and Quill for much of this time and having to fend for himself. I quite like this interaction between Ace and Quill in which they are mostly disagreeing with the situation, their differing opinion about the Doctor and conflicting views of what to do with a Dalek that they got as a hostage. What a resolution that got delivered to the main plot one that certainly took Ace by surprise. A definitely well delivered sequel to Remembrance of the Daleks and bringing Ace into this episode. Also I got listened to this coincidentally just before Aldred's on-screen return as Ace in The Power of the Doctor.
In Remembrance is the second of two Big Finish episodes in Kelly reprises Miss Quill, the other Tell Me You Love Me.
Unfortunately both In Remembrance & Tell Me You Love Me are the only times that Kelly played Quill for Big Finish as she wasn't unavailable for the subsequent Vol. 3 and 4 with Miss Quill being recast to Dervla Kirwan for those two volumes.
Interviews afterwards was with Aldred, Austin and Kelly.
Interesting hearing Aldred's experience doing this story and how it relates to Remembrance of the Daleks and her memories of Remembrance of the Daleks itself. Also quite a contrast learning how friendly Aldred and Kelly are given that their characters have to be nasty to each other in the story! Learn from this interview that this is the first time that Austin and Kelly reprises their characters for Big Finish and what a delight for them having Daleks for this very said first experience!
Also an interview with Class composer Blair Mowat. Mowat said he learnt about Class when it was announced and thought he should write that and then suddenly he got that very job. Interesting hearing from Mowat how he came up with the music for Class and the choice of instruments in reflection of the characters.

The Soers' Ditch: The Soers' Ditch is the first episode of Class: The Audio Adventures from Big Finish. Written by Carl Rowens. After a disastrous outing between friends due to something that Charlie said, Charlie, April, Ram and Matteusz found themselves on another level of reality and meeting the Soers. This involves the friends going through a ritual by the Soers in which their survival are at stake. Fascinating how this all played out and how it involved the history of Shoreditch. Quite good how this is resolved and the comeuppance the Soers received at the end.
Interesting interviews with the main cast to talk about doing this episode including addressing the history of Shoreditch and how it got its name.

Catfish: Catfish is the middle episode of Class: The Audio Adventures Volume Three from Big Finish.
Written by Kate Thorman.
This marked the debut by Joanna McGibbon as Tanya and Dervla Kirwan as Miss Quill taking over from Vivian Oparah and Katherine Kelly respectively as both proved unavailable to reprise their characters here.
Kirwan only makes a brief appearance as Quill at the end and I thought she sounded like Kelly.
On hearing McGibbon as Tanya I really could not tell her apart from her predecessor Oparah.
A new student comes to Coal Hill and formed a certain attachment to Tanya.
Soon Paul gains attention with Tanya's friends more than Tanya herself and therefore she becomes jealous.
Eventually there is something not right about Paul would emerge and what happened when Tanya changed her mind about not coming to school that Paul's true nature is revealed.
Not bad how this is all unravelled culminating with Paul learning a certain life lesson but not in the right way.
Quite an interesting way for McGibbon making her entrance as Tanya especially since this is about her as Tanya and her relationship with her friends.
Frankly on reflection I was surprised given the episode name that this literally wasn't about a catfish.
Afterwards listened to the interviews with Oparah and Jacob Daniels (Paul) with Oparah having to stepped in an already established character in Tanya and how doing Class brings flashbacks of her real experience at school.
Certainly an understandable sentiment as we all remember from time to time of what school was like and how different we would become since then.

Sweet Nothings: Sweet Nothings is the final episode of Class: The Audio Adventures Volume Three from Big Finish. Written by Michael Dennis. Notwithstanding her brief appearance at the end of the previous episode Catfish, this marks the full-on debut by Dervla Kirwan as Miss Quill taking over from the unavailable Katherine Kelly. For Quill it was just another day at Coal Hill when she meets a mysterious man and is simply refer to as The Man. Quill spends a consideration amount of time with The Man before the explanation comes about his true nature, an explanation I certainly wasn't expecting. Overall nice material for Kirwan to worked on for her full-on debut as Quill. Also nice is listening afterwards the interview with Kirwan about stepping in as Quill and what she thinks happens next for Quill (as played by Kelly) after the events of the TV series.

Mock: Mock is the first episode of Class: The Audio Adventures Volume Four. Written by Alfie Shaw. Mock in the episode title refers to mock exams which the students at Coal Hill are taking during this episode. Fascinating that this starts with a narration by Quill as she recounts what happened to her and Charlie's world and how they got rescued by a wanderer (ie the Doctor) and taken to their present location in Coal Hill and hearing the TARDIS sound. At Coal Hill, whilst supervising a mock exam, Quill literally hear voices from the students but the students' mouths weren't moving. Intriguing what ensues on why Quill is hearing voices and how it relates to what went on in her homeworld, given the opening narration of this. Essentially this is a story of how memories of the past have an impact on the present which is definitely resonates with any viewers especially since this is set in a school where not everyone has a pleasant of being at when they were there. In fact Mock it seems is not only a reference to the mock exams but also mocking Quill's sense of reality in determining what is real and what isn't due to the voices. Certainly amusing bit of the episode was with Quill saying that she was taking Charlie to the toilet in the midst of the said exam (!) for the purpose of talking to him about the voices. Afterwards listened to the interviews with Dervla Kirwan (Quill) and Gareth Pierce (Mr Braithwaite, a teacher who appeared in this episode). Interesting this interview with Kirwan stating how inefficient the British education system is in preparing students when they go out into the real world as adults. As someone who was not educated under the British education system I cannot either agree or disagree with Kirwan's viewpoint on this. However the one thing that she said that resonates with me is her saying with effect of how students' viewpoint of the world is gradually changed when they stepped into the real world as adults. Certainly my own viewpoint of the world is in flux the more my schooldays has become a memory. My personal thinking on things is very different to when I was a student, a time that I did not have a full understanding of why the world is the way that it is.

The Creeper: The Creeper is the middle episode of Class: The Audio Adventures Volume 4. Written by Lizzie Hopley who also appears here as Miss Steel, the said Creeper. This is set at Halloween when Charlie, April, Matteusz and Quill encounter the said Creeper. A very spooky story that delivers well on its Halloween theme and quite impressive that Hopley as writer and actor playing the Creeper did very well in both capacities and quite daring how she concluded this episode by what happened to Quill because of the Creeper. Also surprised learning that playing the DJ is Blair Mowat, the composer of Class!
Listened to the interviews with Greg Austin (Charlie), Sophie Hopkins (April), Jordan Renzo (Matteusz) and Hopley. The interviews were conducted by producer/director Scott Handcock and it was amusing that since this is audio it was easy to forget that Charlie and April were in Halloween costumes during this episode. Charlie was Dracula and April was a zombie. It would have been a sight to see to see them in their said costumes while dealing the situation at hand!

Class Ongoing: Fallen Soul: classongoing.files.wordpress.com/2021/06/1.-fallen-soul.pdf
Fallen Soul is the first episode of Class: Ongoing, a fan continuation series of Class. Written by Ally Chancellor. Picks up from where the TV series left off at the end of the finale The Lost including addressing the certain states April and Quill were in. Interesting how this story picks up from the TV series with way it explores the immediate aftermath of it. Intriguing end to this with a meeting that Tanya had and the location of it.

Queen of Rhodia: Queen of Rhodia is the final episode of Class: The Audio Adventures Vol. 4 from Big Finish. Written by Blair Mowat, the composer of Class. Vol. 4 was released in April 2020 and since then no fifth volume was made and released. Therefore Queen of Rhodia could have been the final Class Big Finish if it weren't for the fact that Big Finish had recently announced the single story release Secret Diary of a Rhodian Prince also written by Mowat for January 2023. Here I was thinking prior to the announcement of Secret Diary of a Rhodian Prince that I was finally going to finish off all the Class Big Finishes. Oh well. Quill suddenly found herself back on Rhodia and has no idea how she got there. Bizarre still is that she also sees the people from Coal Hill not as themselves but as someone else, all except Charlie who was still Charlie here but a different one. Intriguing story as we explore with her on what is really going on here and a Corporal Blood being a key to this mystery and how it relates to the penultimate TV episode The Metaphysical Engine, or What Quill Did. There is a good reason why Corporal Blood has that name. The revelation of why the set up was very satisfying. No doubt a reflection on the way the TV series ended, this ends with Charlie telling Blood asking what is going to happen next and his speech here seems reminiscent of the Seventh Doctor's words to Ace at the end of Survival reflecting on the end of classic Who. Charlie's speech to Blood seems to achieve the same purpose even telling him they had work to do which is what the Seventh Doctor said to Ace in the said speech in Survival. Listened to the interviews with Mowat and Greg Austin (Charlie) afterwards. Interesting the response Mowat gave on why he set this after The Metaphysical Engine, or What Quill Did saying it is about the Big Finish licence could not go past the final TV episode The Lost and how he loves dealing the limitation of that.

Class Ongoing: Side Stories: President Woods: classongoing.files.wordpress.com/2021/07/side-story-1.-president-woods.pdf
Written by Matt Jordan. President Woods is the first in Class Ongoing: Side Stories which are stories that are told adjacent to the main stories of the series. After Courtney Woods was with the Doctor and Clara for most of Kill The Moon, the Doctor briefly mentions that Courtney would become President of the United States. President Woods therefore tells that very story. This story starts off with Courtney being Vice President as it delves into how she eventually became President. Quite interesting story of Courtney as Vice President before ultimately becoming President and how the events of the said Kill The Moon, Coal Hill and Clara gets incorporated into this. Not bad at all.
