About bloody time too, but according to Imdb she's currently working on a TV drama of Jane Eyre, as Blanche Ingram! www.imdb.com/title/tt0780362/So she hasn't disappeared off the face of the Earth completely then! If I'm correct I think I recall Blanche's character to be quite haunty too, and she's already played a girl who's up herself in 'What A Girl Wants', so this should be a good role for her! ;D Yay, Christina's back!

it's good to hear that she's working on something! I've never quite finished reading Jane Eyre ...must get around to it one day!

I've never been into Victorian fiction (Jane Eyre, Sense and Sensibility, Pride and Prejudice) and all that. I'm more into Victorian Science Fiction, modern "non fiction fiction" (a la Hunter Thompson) and unusual books.
Back on topic - yes it is good to see her out again, but I'm actually a bit disappointed.... that story has been retold sooo many times on television. And sorry to say, not a patch on what Jemima Rooper has acheived!
N.B: I'm so not a Christina hater, I think she's lovely and want to see her in more ORIGINAL, NEWER material! I think they should bring her into Hollyoaks, I might watch it then lol

I'm more into Victorian Science Fiction . At the risk of going off topic, do you mean science fiction that was actually written in the 19th and early 20th centuries (Wells, Verne, etc), or science-fiction set during that period (steampunk)?

I wouldn't want her in Hollyoaks, she's too good for it *dodges rocks* Not the biggest Hollyoaks fan... ;D I'm glad she's actually working on something again, even if it is something that is constantly retold because it'll hopefully lead to better brighter things!

I used to watch it when I was younger, back when Will Mellor was in it, lol but since then, nup. Thanks for the update Casazeal, it's good to see her doing something else. I like Victorian literature, although I own and have never read Jane Eyre *ahem* so I may give it a look but it would be nice to see her do something completely out of character to support her need to leave Hex for bigger and better things.

I hate hollyoaks, but she'd be a good reason to watch it. I agree - she's always typecast, which won't help get her good roles!

No...I just think she would be good on it. I really like Hollyoaks, I think it gets a lot of unfair snobbery (Not saying anyone is like that...just seems to be the case). But meh, whatever, I'll shut up now. Its not everyones cup of tea.

Welcome! I saw it when I was browsing IMDB at work (shhh!) because I was bored and saw it, and then scrambled to here to post it hehe! *saaaad* I've read Jane Eyre, but shant spoil the storyline for anyone. And she needs to get a good role to get her teeth into otherwise leaving Hex may prove to be a bit of a mistake in my opinion.

I used to love Hollyoaks when it first started with Kurt, Jambo, Natasha, Dawn e.t.c.
And there's nothing wrong with it now...although I don't watch it regularly. And because Gemma Atkinson's gone.
