Hehe, check out Christina Cole's Doctor Who action figure. Interesting bit of blurb from this site too (some of which probably belongs in the Mythology section - wasn't 'Lilith' also the name of Cassie's mother in Hex?): Lilith is one of the three central Carrionites or witches, along with Mother Doomfinger and Mother Bloodtide, that feature in Doctor Who Series Three, The Shakespeare Code 2007. The Carrionites desire to return from banishment in the Deep Darkness via Shakespearean London and bring about the end of the world using the power of words, also known as witchcraft. Interestingly, the name Lilith has very ancient mythological associations with female demons; Lilith has been variously described as a screech owl, a bringer of pestilence, a night she-demon, a storm demon, a preyer upon children, a seductress, and the first wife of Adam. In astrology Lilith denotes an asteroid belt as well as the Dark and Black Moons. The Lilith action figure wears a long black coat and has a menacing grimace. Lilith 5" comes with a crystal ball accessory.Shame they didn't do a doll for her 'human' look, we could have passed it off as the first ever Hex action figure. If you ignored the Shakespeare-era clothes that is.

Christina Cole was excellent in DW! Funny to see her playing a "witch" again... and that quote is interesting. Her mothers name was indeed Lilith.

Her mothers name was indeed Lilith. I thought so! Couldn't remember whether I was getting it mixed up with her character from Doctor Who or not. Just noticed that a few behind the scenes stills from The Deaths of Ian are up on various horror sites. This seems to be the only one of Christina Cole, though.

Not really news of substance or even a confirmed air date I suppose, but The Mirror is reporting that Sold will start in November: LOOKS like Anthony "Buffy" Head will be calling the shots on TV this autumn.
He's due to play the boss of a talent agency in the Channel 4 comedy Bitter And Twisted and will be lording it over his underlings again in ITV1's Sold, this November, as the MD of a firm of estate agents.
"My character in Sold is loosely based on Sir Alan Sugar," says Anthony. "I've tried to embody the power Sir Alan brings to The Apprentice, and his edginess, stoicism and slight intransigence."
Anthony, you're hired!

Her part was pretty small. She was corgeous as ever and her character worked for in the business of the family of the show. So I am wondering if she is going to be in more episodes. Tina

Cheers Tina, good to know there's scope for her to appear again too! ITV are busy pushing their Autumn Drama at the moment and there's a promo for it here. It's got clips from Sold in it, but as the entire promo is only thirty seconds long, that boils down to three shots of Kris Marshall, Ella Smith and Christina Cole, all looking mean and moody in dark shades and suits. It's still worth a watch to whet your appetite for Sold though.

In June Christina taped a pilot for a show called Ladies and Gentlemen. It airs next Friday(Oct 12) 10.30pm on Channel 4 in the UK. As part of Channel 4's 25th anniversary celebrations, the next few Fridays will see the broadcast of six brand-new comedy specials ..... Ladies and Gentlemen: Penned by Peep Show writers Jesse Armstrong and Sam Bain, Ladies and Gentlemen follows the single lives and awkward loves of a group of 30-something friends who share a house in London. Oh, and it's 1865. Horatio is the youngest son of a Baron, a man incapable of earning a living who gets by because of his superior social position. Comedy Showcase Homepage

Christina's certainly racking up the credits at the moment, isn't she?! Now all we need are some juicy interviews to go with them. Memorable TV has put up the whole of Channel 4's press info which gives more detail on the episode and Christina's role in it - I've spoilered it in case anyone doesn't want to know: UK / Channel 4 / 1x35 minutes / Friday 12 October @ 10.30pm Penned by Peep Show writers Jesse Armstrong and Sam Bain, Ladies and Gentlemen follows the single lives and awkward loves of a group of 30-something friends who share a house in London. Oh, and it's 1865. Horatio (Darren Boyd) is the youngest son of a Baron, a man incapable of earning a living who gets by because of his superior social position. Freddie (Reece Shearsmith) is a middle-class clerk in a dead-end job who is obsessed with status and manners. Jack (Adam Buxton) is a doctor and a serial romantic - there isn't a woman in London who he hasn't tried to become engaged to. Alice (Lucy Punch) is Horatio's lover, far cleverer than he is but still not as clever as she thinks she is.
Louisa (Rosie Cavaliero) is the less attractive sister of Alice, and resolutely left on the shelf despite her youth. Finally, Emily (Cara Horgan) is the fairly incompetent but pretty maid who Freddie continually lusts after but can never bring himself to do anything about. When Horatio's uncle dies and the entire estate is left to him, Horatio suddenly finds himself the number-one suspect for murder. Did Horatio purposely kill his uncle to get his hands on the estate? Or was it his cousin, the daughter of his dead uncle, the beautiful Elizabeth (Christina Cole), who was recently betrothed to his friend and flatmate Jack?I'm still stupidly excited about her appearing alongside Jemima Rooper again in Lost in Austen too. Not seen any confirmation of it apart from on AustenBlog though.
