Fated is reviewed in the current issue of SFX magazine. They give it one star out of five, and declare that it's so bad that if it were a puppy, they'd put it in a sack, club it repeatedly, then throw it in the river (thus winning themselves this week's Unnecessary & Gratuitous Bad Taste Award. Eeow).
I still want to see it, given the chance. SFX have also recently given scathing reviews to Ultraviolet and Reeker, the two films that I've enjoyed the most this year.

SFX reviews are generally unreliable anyway. One month they'll pour scorn on something, next minute it's their favourite film. I remember when they reveiwed the trailer for Peter Pan a couple of years ago and they were all dismissive saying that it was bargain bin material but when it came out they hyped it up saying it was the best children's film they'd seen in years.

SFX reviews are generally unreliable anyway. One month they'll pour scorn on something, next minute it's their favourite film. The inconsistency in their reviews has been brought quite a few times on SFX's own forum. A member of the editorial team normally responds by posting that the magazine employs a team of reviewers, who often have conflicting opinions. Plausible, but I've noticed that the magazine's general stance towards movies in particular is clearly governed by public response. Often SFX will review a film before it's released and give it the thumbs up. If said film then proceeds to flop or under-perform at the box office, you can guarantee that their review of it's DVD release will dismiss it as being awful. If the movie is subsequently mentioned in any features or articles, it will always be in order to subject it to scorn or condemnation.

I am in the middle of a Richard Armitage obsession right now and I am watching the series Between the Sheets. I believe I noticed her in it. SHe has very distintive eyes.

Katrine de Candole is in the fourth episode of Demons, 'Suckers', which airs at 7.45pm on Saturday 24th January (ITV1).
Episode description (highlight to view - contains spoilers):
When a bad boy vampire arrives on the scene and Mina (Zoe Tapper) starts behaving strangely, Galvin (Philip Glenister) gets suspicious. Mina confesses that Quincey (Ciaran McMenamin) is back. He has come for her – he wants her to give in to her half-blood heritage.
For Mina is immortal – the Mina Harker of Bram Stoker’s Dracula. The blood of Dracula flows through her veins giving her power and eternal youth.
Galvin knows Quincey’s return is painful for Mina – this is only confirmed when she tells him that she knows it’s wrong, but she still loves Quincey. Galvin reassures her that he, of all people, understands – but they both know that sentiment has no place in the smiting game. Mina knows her duty. Galvin tells her they will set a trap and rid the world of Quincey for good.
But when Mina can’t go through with it Galvin is taken hostage. Luke is furious – Mina sacrificed Galvin for a vampire? Mina tells him she couldn’t let Quincey die. Luke’s (Christian Cooke) not impressed – so he used to be her boyfriend, so what? When Mina replies that Quincey is not her lover, but her son, Luke is dumbstruck.
Meanwhile, Quincey is preparing to use Galvin as bait to capture Luke, the biggest prize in the half-life. Quincey’s plan works – Luke comes to rescue Galvin with Mina’s help, Quincey goes for Luke – it is the beginning of an epic fight.

Just seen the trailer for next weeks episode with Katrine De Candole. She looks startling as ever, I'm thinking it looks as though it might be a similar role as in Hex.

Great work by Katrine in last night's Casualty. I'm so used to seeing her play confident, powerful characters that it was actually surprising to see her portraying someone so vulnerable, scared and, well... human. She absolutely aced it. And in the scenes where her character Cecily learnt that she was pregnant, her face positively lit up. She's never looked lovelier on screen.
