I have no idea about the mirror thing, but I know you wouldn't get me to do an ouija board for love nor money, especially not if you don't have someone with you who knows exactly what they're doing.
Call me superstious but if you play with fire you get burned. Even if it's all just psychological I don't think it's very wise.
It has to be done correctly and closed down correctly afterwards and you might not like what happens...if it works at all.

Admittedly, an Ouija board is something I've always seen as 'scary fun', but like DD I'd be sure I was with someone who was bit seasoned in these things! Like Derek Akorah! LOL!

How exactly do you close it down properly? Cos the websites I was reading were going on about that too, but they didnt actually tell you how to do it

I think you're just supposed to basically say thank you and goodbye and break the circle by everyone taking their hands out. Some people say you need to smash the glass that you're using too. Have a look at this site...it gives detailed info and lots of dos and dont's if you insist on doing it. For example you need to protect yourselves with prayers and begin and end with a prayer. Nobody should be drunk or stoned who does it. You shouldn't ask for "spirits" to prove that they are there othewise you might get more than you bargained for. It's pretty interesting and sensible advice. www.castleofspirits.com/ouijaboards.html

Has anyone ever done a ouija board before? Ooh I have. IMO I see ouija as more of an unconscious thing rather than spirits moving the planchette...so basically your subconscious pushes the planchette around, but everyone feels differently about it. As long as you dont approach it in a ridiculously light-hearted fashion and you have the belief that nothing can hurt you they're ok to use.

Hmm...I would definitely NOT do it with that kind of person, but its really up to you. If you mess around with a ouija you might get something that wants to mess around with you. Nothing can really hurt you, but if you're scared of stuff like that it could make it a bit traumatic. What'll most likely happen though, if your just having a play about, is that nothing will happen and someone will start pushing the planchette around.

yup basically you need to approach it with a bit of respect, even if it is just a bit of fun. If you think someone's pushing it, you can always ask them to take their hands off and then see what happens.
