yep in some ways its the only way to avoid a 'beating' is to say no offence because if you just say what you were going to say without then you end up in pain for about a week (speak from experience)

I am not amused. I am having to write all about sex for my English essay.

Why is this? Because all my English teacher talks about is sex, sexual connotations, sexual innuendo, sexual subtext and having sex! It's a disgrace.

Now I enjoy a good smutty giggle just as much as everyone else but please, nobody wants to know that you think everyone in a novel is shagging behind everyone's back, it's not always relevant at all! Especially when it's a book about a young boy, sure sexual awakening and all that but leave it there, don't make the whole class squirm while you talk about semen being all over his best friend's mother's hands.

And she never brings in another topic without it being about sex, she talked to us about Lolita and the Colour Purple, which bits did she read? Obscene ones. Vivid sexual content and everything. It's incredibly embarrassing, especially since she is so obviously pregnant and all we can think while we're sitting there is that she must have had it at least twice and that she can't seem to get enough of it.

hehe maybe I'd oblige but once you're out of school that stuff leads to la polizia getting involved can get away with it in school -_-

The reason why they do it is they're a) scared as the difference challenges their own self-view and b) The only girls they can get are other chavs, which frustrates them

But hey, 's just not on. annoys me that this kind of crap goes on.

thats actually really really good! we learn a lot of the moves to break grabs or holds at school as part of our training....sad that teachers have to learn self defence...but necessary.

well that's precisely the problem...you look at a kid the wrong way these days and they can cry assault and in teaching you're guilty until proven innocent. ETA: that's not a dig at you Jaime...just the nightmare of teaching in general.
