Just had a raging row with myself about why I am taking history A Level.
If I have to evaluate a source once more I may just jack it in. I'm writing exactly the same thing over and over again, 3 weeks into the course. It's slowly killing me. 5 homeworks later I THINK I might get the point but no. He sets it again and again and again. It doesn't take a genius and it's just repetitive. I loved history at my own school, but since they wouldn't let the course run some of us have to troop to the nearby boy's college to take it, and they do a different style syllabus. It's driving me insane.
If it was difficult it would be a different story but it's just destroying any love of history I had 2 weeks ago. Thank god he doesn't teach me English, that's all I'm saying...

You have my sympathy. Evaluating sources is the most boring and repetitive thing ever, and when I tried to spice it up by bringing in my own ideas and interpreations I think he went into shock, he didn't know what to do with it, he just told everyone I had "good ideas" and didn't mark them. I got "Fair Enough." written in the margin. Last time I try expanding my writing for him. Bearing in mind these were as well as what he asked for, not instead of, he could have at least read them. And when I did look at his other comments it became clear he hadn't read the majority of what I'd written, he said I hadn't used a certain source when I'd even LABELLED that particular source. Impossible to miss. And blatently lazy seeing as he used 3 lessons to mark in. Instead of teaching in 2 of those lessons. Meh.
