The film is a few days away! Yay!
I'm more of a book fan though and am very picky with the films lol!
Anyone else follow the films and/or books? ;D

like both....I accept the limitations of the films as well...that way you can just sit back and enjoy them.

As if!! PoA was the best film by far! The kids actually learned how to act and Gary Oldman was awesome as my favourite Sirius. I do prefer the books but will watch all the films cause I am a geek

I love the books, proberly because I can imagine it better than it's brought to screen. I just have problems with Hermione's hair *shifty eyes* and Yule Ball dress. Other than that, I'm fine with them

PoA is good as a movie in itself, but I get really offended when they drastically change things and miss out important chunks. No Moody, Padfoot and Prongs storey explained, so the half of the audience who hadnt read the book probably didnt have a clue what wats going on. And what was up with Hermione going all hot action girl? Come on! Shes meant to be a nerdy bookworm with big teeth. Also, turning Draco into a snivveling wimp. He isnt THAT bad in the books...they made him so pathetic. And werewolf Lupin looked like the rejected 'angry beavers' character. And Lupin and Harry had a conversation that totally made NO SENSE whatsoever. And-

Oooooh I just LOVE both the Harry Potter books and films hehe ;D. I do get annoyed when they cut so much out of the films though, I know they can't have everything that's in the book, in the film, but it really wound me up in POA when they (as Jimjamz said) cut out the Moody, Padfoot and Prongs part! I'm really looking forward to GOF, but I think the casting for Krum and Fleur is a bit... hmmm

You are right, I kind of forget about people who haven't read the books and whenever there's a book-film transition you've got to expect changes. It's rubbish but always happens, look at QotD - I don't know any Anne Rice fans who like that film in comparison to the book. The book's awesome. The film's cool as a film & the soundtrack rocks but compared to the book it's terrible!! ;D

I like the books but the films just look a bit too cheesy for my taste.
