I reckon it won't get past series one. Don't think I'll be watching it myself cos other than "the cast are cute" I've not really heard much good about the show yet...

Marti Noxon, Ben Edlund, Kelly Manners are people from Buffy/Angel that are on it. Quite surprised that in Marti Noxon's episode that the writing was a bit iffy.
There's definitely something brewing underneath the bad acting...there's an intriguing back story - and Adam Busch is in it!

Sorry, your entire comment turned to mush when I saw the name "Adam Busch" *swoons* I love that geeky li'l guy! He's hot! LOL However, I stand by my opinion on shows like this - they all come and go like Tru Calling for example. They're repetetive and you just know what's gonna happen!

The episode Two Pair was the best episode of 2004. But then the possibility of having morality questioned and raising some interesting questions flew out of the window when Jack was played like a pantomine villain...

The show was just too repetitive. I mean that was the whole idea - re-living the day to change it, but that gets dull after a while.
I watched the re-run of Point Pleasant tonight out of sheer mind bashing boredom and I wish I hadn't. Bad writing, worse acting, no story, nothing. I mean - what the hell!? Nothing happened in the entire episode apart from alot of people moping around sulking. Urgh.

I did warn you.....the O.C with added genre stuff...did I not say that. It's ba-y-ad but I will persevere. Even Adam Busch did not save it for me. ( Although I have to admit I've met him a few times and find him to be a bit arrogant, not horribly so, but enough...y'know.)

I'm really just watching it for Lucas Boyd (Grant Show), he has a good air of 'bad-boy' and his wicked little tricks are fun.

He's arrogant, DD? Wow, in interviews he seems like such a funny, friendly guy too! Maybe you caught him on a few off days lol. Did you meet him at a convention? Maybe he don't like 'em hehe. Anymoo, yes, you did tell me. I won't be watching it for Adam Busch because that beard is wrong-o! It doesn't suit him, though I do get that Ms. Noxon was trying to keep him from resembling Warren, etc.

LoL the beard is baaaad.
I did meet him at conventions but one of them was mega mega small, only 100 or so people and he was hardly getting mobbed or pestered AND people were buying lots of his band, Common Rotation's CD's. and generally being nice and respectful.
He's pleasant enough at singnings and when he's doing talks but he can be very...hmm...offish. He's by no means the worst or the biggest big head in big head ville or anything.

Just watched episode five...was this the show that I thought was bad? It appears that the potential is actually being tapped into. Moving away from Buffy and now becoming a nice American Gothic and Twin Peaks hybrid with some shocking moments and some clever moments. Boyd not having anything written on the cards was another good twist...and seeing his 'beginning', and suggestions he might be more like Christina than he first thought...
The dialogue between Sarah and Boyd at the start, in which he says 'history repeats itself' could be many things. The Dance Marathon, what happens...or what I originally thought was Sarah having another affair (which wasn't actually referenced directly).
Also, it's good to see that Jesse has actually got a mind of his own, and Judy got screen time! Shock! Horror! Plus we learn that Judy had an affair with her sister's boyfriend...and if they are smart enough, make us actually feel for Paula. Okay, she's a bitch - but no-one can take that much without becoming emotionally affected.
I'm actually looking forward to the next episode, in which Judy and Jesse apparently investigate Christina's past. If you have to give the series credit for one thing, it's developing the plots and characters at a decent pace now...
The first episode of this series in which I actually finished the ep wanting to see what happens next...

*gasps* Wash your mouth out comparing this dross to American Gothic!!!! LOL That was original this is just mostly painful.
My problem is I still just find the wooden acting ruins the whole thing and Christina is one of the worst offenders. I just don't care enough about any of the characters to give a flying foo what happens to them. It's moderately more interesting in episode 5 and 6 but the flash-back to Lucas was oh so predictable.
I just think compared to the kind of writing thats appearing on other genre shows like Lost and Carnivale especially, which is doing "the devils own" thing 110 time better than Point Pleasant, just really shows up the clunkiness of Point Pleasant. It's like being trapped in a really bad, predictable Buffy episode.

With the Hex re-runs starting from Wednesday, I'll probably just catch it on Sunday, that's the extent of my enthusiasm after last nights episode and I have the entire Season 1 of Hex on DVD (I have a DVD recorder instead of a video recorder, no pirate copies for me).
