"Let me take your hand, I'm shaking like milk Turning, turning blue all over the windows and the floors Fires outside in the sky look as perfect as cats!"
from Let's Go To Bed by The Cure
Oh, and my other favourite, just because it uses the word "moot" and therefore makes a good trivia question:
"I wanna tell her that I love her but the point is prob'ly moot."
from Jesse's Girl by Rick Springfield

Ooh interesting. Let's have a think: She never could get drunk enough To get him off her mind until the night She put that bottle to her head and pulled the trigger And finally drank away his memory - Whiskey Lullaby (Brad Paisley/Alison Krauss) An age old truism from Johnny Cash: How many times can one man say If I had his money I'd do things my way - A Satisfied Mind (Johnny Cash) The ENTIRE song of "Science Fiction Double Feature" - best lyrics I ever read, hehe. That's all I can think of for now!!

I have loads, but first that comes to mind is:
Got the mike in my hand but can I make you understand That a-hole bands have a-hole fans Bloodhound's the name and the Gang's to blame Like Chan n' Chin the Siamese twins it's one in the same So fame ain't gonna live forever Never worrying about dying cause it can't be any better But whatever happens to happen always happens for the worst And if the worst is yet to happen I hope it happens to you first The Bloodhound Gang - Going Nowhere Slow

Scratch one song by bloodhound gang! All of their lyrics are great! Hell yeah. But those I think can be taken seriously as well as humourously. More: And I know a man who lost his wife, This is the way he chooses to describe his life, He says, "If I think too much, I find there's just a hole," But before she went, she left a son, He says, "Dad, you're not the only one, Maybe love is just a requiem for the soul..."Nerina Pallot - Learning To Breathe

Every day there is some kind of darkness That just won't go away No matter how hard I try. It crawls into my system when my guard is down Becomes a ball I have to drag around To every party And every function I give it to people Like written instruction. Don't try to get away I'm here to stay. My name is Fate.
Curve - Fait Accompli
